IMO you are asking for trouble, stress etc booking just yet.
We will do a few days before we leave.

A lot of people have made the point that although they do have a holiday booked - which is what the poll asked - they didn't book in the middle of a pandemic.
My booked holiday for June 2021 was booked in September 2019 and was originally for 2020 but we deferred it for a full year.
I'm hoping that we can defer it to June 2022.

    I'm fully vaccinated.
I'm waiting for tests not to be required before I book anything.
And for more countries to be on the green list with little chance of them moving to amber or red whilst I'm on holiday.

    ETA:
and noticing that I posted immediately above embers123 on 20th March - I have deferred my holiday to 2022.

What is it about a Worldwide Pandemic that people don't understand?
Why are overseas holidays still being booked?

Because it is allowed by the Government...?

    I suppose!
Common sense has nothing to do with any government decision.

I wonder how many people from 'our' holiday destinations are clambering to get places to come here on holiday, not many I'll bet and yet hospitality outlets are desperate for trade but Brits would rather give their money to Spannish pubs and resturants.

If it's not banned, people will do it.
    Common sense or not.

Not a lot of incentive for people to visit England as not many countries are on our green list. Not sure what the other 3 countries' rules are but I'd guess similar.
If you are from an amber list country you must quarantine in the place you’re staying and take 2 COVID-19 tests.
If you are from a red list country - you must quarantine in a hotel and take 2 COVID-19 tests.
Not much of a holiday really.

I agree that not many people will be wanting to visit here from The Falklands, South Georgia and South Sandwich Islands or St Helena, Ascension and Tristan da Cunha... :D

I guess people can spend their money how and where they choose - if the Government say they can leave this country
