A bit rude

Boris may keep schools open for an extra 2 weeks in the final term this academic year. I'm sure I'm not alone in booking a family holiday in the first 2 weeks of school summer hols, anyone else? Worried?0

Children's education should be priority. Better to plan for that. Than what might happen globally with Covid. Which isn't going away anytime soon.0

Worried? If I had children of school age, I wouldn't be booking a holiday in what has always been school summer holidays.Of course, if it's a holiday that was booked pre-covid and deferred from 2020 to 2021 that's somewhat different as I think most of us didn't really expect to still be locked down almost a year after this first started.0

Not even booked a single day off work so far this year. Did managed 2 foreign hols last year, one in March (Turkey) and one on July (Spain) and had three cancelled Turkey in June then, Egypt and Devon in November. Investing the money instead and doing quite well.0

Booked a week in July in January for Madeira. Flights are with avios, so Only lose the taxes if we don’t go. Apartment is cancelable two days before with full refund. I’d say there’s about a 25% chance of us going. We also have something booked for September and October. Much more hopeful about those. I also have a package holiday booked with Tui for May ‘22. Got an absolute bargain!!0

Sensible not to book and support the effort to stay safe. Other countries are not as hot as we are on the new virus so massive risk. Stay in the UK and support your local lot IMO0

I have a summer holiday booked, it is in England and it is rolled over from 2020 and was originally booked in July 2019. If it was not rolled over from last year then I would not be booking one and under no circumstances would I be booking a foreign holiday in 2021 or 2022.0

I have a holiday booked to South Africa (🙈) for July. Booked a long time ago in the hopes we could go see the Lions tour but that's almost definitely a dud. Thankfully all our airbnbs are fully refundable up until 2 days before we're able to check in and our flights are able to be rearranged.
I'm not particularly optimistic we'll be able to go but I'm holding off until April to make a decision to cancel until I have more of an idea of the state of both countries.0 -
I have american relatives and a son who works in saudi arabia . My son has been to usa in both december and january to visit .With covid testing .Flying dubai to new york .
American relative who works in london brought her mum with her and she has just flown back after staying here 6 weeks .
I have flights booked to usa in march april and august . I realise the first two are not happening but the august booking looks like it will not happen either . The reason being joe biden says he does not need the money from british , german and brazilian holiday makers to boost his economy and he will encourage staycations instead .
So even if boris and sturgeon say yes joe will still say no .0
