Thank you for your messages. He was saying this morning that his tooth was hurting so I booked him a dentist apt. And now the tooth is being removed. I'm wondering if he bumped it when he fell. Poor boy is really in the wars.

Stock cubes and icing sugar bought today. I spent soooo much money yesterday. Stress spending. Stress eating. Payday next Friday so just a few days to go. I did make a £200 payment on Tuesday which I forgot to update on. I paid it as soon as the money came I so I wouldn't be tempted to spend it so that's good. I'll need to update my signature.
I sold something for £10. First thing I've sold in ages. Oh, I also sold an old exercise bike for £100. In the chaos of the last few days I forgot all about that.

  • I hope the icing sugar and stock cubes aren't being used together.
We've had a spendy month, a mixture of things opening up, booking a couple of things and being able to go to shops to buy some things we need. We saved so much in the pandemic I shouldn't mind all of this but saving/over paying has been so easy, I will miss that.

I read somewhere that there is billions in savings thanks to lockdown. I have contributed nothing to that.
Today, spent nothing. Yay. Tomorrow I will need to get DS a plastic chair for the shower so he can wash. He loves showers so I want him to at least have that back. I've sold something for £5 but given that I have £2.58 in my account I might need to use that. 1 week to payday.

I've just remembered after reading your message that today wasn't a no spend day at all. I had to order one of those waterproof ponchos to go over a wheelchair and keep the boy dry when he goes to school. Dang kids are expensive.

I took DS to a car boot sale today and spent £3 which isn't too bad. I was also able to increase my 0% credit limit so I can almost clear one of my interest loans which will save me quite a bit in the long run. Looking forward to payday and making a big payment. I should be able to make a payment between £700 & £900.
I've changed tesco clubcard vouchers into legoland vouchers for a day out. We get one free as a carer so with the vouchers I will only need to pay £34. Pretty chuffed with that.
I've eaten appallingly. I'm so tired. My neck and shoulders are killing me. I cant afford a massage so have instead been watching folk get massages on YouTube. That's the same right?

The Lego tickets are a win (Lego land...Lego tickets sound like they should click together 😁).
and yes it is...like watching money savers and frugal queens is the same as money saving 😬
I hope your neck and shoulders feel better today.

Busy few days here so haven't been able to update. I haven't had an awful lot to update anyway. I managed to increase my credit limit on a 0% card and used that towards the interest paying loan. I have kept the repayments amount the same in a bid to get that cleared but I'm trying to pay back my Mum first. I have given her £800 this month. I had hoped to pay a bit more but it is bank holiday and half term so will need some extra pennies there. I can't really plan not to spend anything extra. That wouldn't be realistic at all.
Feels like such a long way to go, especially now that I'm not selling anything except the odd £5 here and there. That is definitely a great way to get those debts down.
I've promised DS an ice cream today and the pop-up pirate game so a little expense, about £12. I've got an online shop coming tomorrow which I managed to save £60 on with Waitrose. I need to add some lunch box fillers to that so I will take off the liquorice. I don't need to eat it and I don't need to spend the £2........Actually maybe I do.

    Hi Flapflop,
You’re doing great still and shouldn’t feel guilty about a very small amount of expense during what is traditionally a family period.
I am finding it a little harder to restrain myself now with the restaurant’s and pubs back open as friends are already booking things up which is going to cost more than I’d like, whilst I don’t want to make excuses, I also don’t want to spend £100 on a few meals out!! It was great during lockdown from that perspective as it meant I didn’t have to make any excuses!

I know you will want to pay mum back because she is not just a lending facility like the others but also remember that she is in effect 0% interest for as long as it takes. If she can bare with you, I would honestly focus all your efforts on the interest bearing loans with a token gesture to mum until you can start making a significant impact to them loans, you’ve had a good pay rise recently so it will be sooner than you think I am sure
If you believe you can, you will. If you believe you can't, you won't.

    Secured/Unsecured loans x 1
    Credit Cards x 8 (total limit £55,050)
Creation FS Retail Account x 1
    Creation Credit Sale 0% x 1 = £112.50pm x 20 mths
    0% Overdraft x 1 (£0 / £250)
    Mortgage Outstanding - £137,707.00 (Payment 13/360)
    Total Debt = £7,400 (0%APR) @ £100pm - Stoozing
