Amazon Prime Video subscription

I have been given conflicting advice by Amazon customer services on Amazon Prime Video subscription.
Can someone clarify whether it is possible to take out a Prime Video subscription as well as the general Amazon Prime subscription? I find I'm spending a lot in lockdown, renting at least two films per week. I've heard that you can get unlimited rental for £5.99 month.

Yes Prime Video only is under More Options £5-99pmBut why pay for Video and a standard Prime subscription that includes Prime Video ..0

Thankyou.
it's simply because there are so many more options that are not included.

The £7.99 a month/£79 a year Prime price gives you access to everything in Prime - free delivery/same-day delivery, Prime Video, the Kindle stuff, music...

Didn't Amazon when they ran the DVD Rental service do something like unlimited rentals for that sort of monthly figure? They did use to have a rental model that meant you could effectively do unlimited streaming if you had the unlimited DVD rental package as well, but that side of things all went out the window when they ate Lovefilm up and merged the entire operation into what is now Prime Video, and then scrapped the entire DVD rental side of things a few years later.0

If you are renting films then these are likely ones not included on Prime Video.
Only older films with the Prime stripe are included in the subscription. You won't be able to get more films on Prime. There is only one Prime subscription.1 -
Yes you have Prime Video with included content, and the option to rent other titles, which are not included in Prime Video, paying individually per film. There is as far as I know no subscription to access the latter. They are pay per rental only.0
