Being a lodger can be money for old rope: you pay off their mortgage while being treated as a third-class resident.   Suggest you see if you can afford a studio flat, or at least a bedsit, so that you have control over your own space.

When looking for your new place, try and have a longer chat with the landlord. You can now give specific examples of this past experience and see how they feel
  • The landlord sounds like they need your money but you are an inconvenience. Nothing wrong with putting the washing machine on when reasonable etc. Unfortunately they can decide though. My mum in law took in a tenant in her eighties and it all worked perfectly for years. Find a nice landlord who is happy to be realistic.

I would be peed off with the washing machine (you can do it later) but the rest is completely unreasonable. You cannot be expected not to use the kitchen!
They can do yoga later to be honest - ok if the landlord has saif "I do yoga at 9am every Saturday" that's one thing, but to have to change your plans to fit in with a selfish person is another.
  • Yep having to do most things around her,the time I can vacuum or tidy my room, the time I can do laundry, the time I can eat or make coffee £585 to be stuck in my bedroom waiting or creeping about like a mouse angry that I am called disruptive... trying to live and do things also trying to keep up with her. Yeah am looking to move but just settled a bit after a month... headache.

Maybe you could try sitting down and talking to her about it.

Sounds like tip-toeing around this LL where the rules keep changing and then being told off for it. Sounds awful. You can't live like that.

Bad luck.  My grand daughter had to find a lodger to share costs, and I was really impressed at the Lodger Agreement she drew up; specifying exactly which rooms were dedicated or shared, what facilities could be used (even down to specifying that the rent included basics like tea, milk, sugar and spices)!

Sounds like your LL is just rubbish.
