Cineworld? After sending me Cineworld tickets last June as had been my choice in previous years Lloyds canceled them a few days later stating Cineworld was no longer an option and instead sent Odeon vouchers. I tried getting them changed to Vue since my Odeon is a total dump but Lloyds customer service were unable.

What has been the experience of extensions with Odeon? I have tickets expiring early June when cinemas should technically be open but there won't be enough time or anything worth watching in the 2 weeks in that period.

31st May 2021? They must be meaning 31st May 2022 as Cineworld cinemas aren't even open yet. Even if they re-open next week, it seems entirely unreasonable to expect people to use all their vouchers within a week.
People will have two weeks to use them from 17th to 31st? And of course cinemas were open from late July to early November and then most of December. So people will have had nearly five months to use them?
Lloyds and Cineworld no longer have a contractual relationship - Lloyds (as do Vitality) offer cinema rewards via Vue and Odeon now. And why would Cineworld wish to extend when they need paying customers.
Lesson for the future - use the vouchers as soon as you can!

Cineworld closed in October (before they were obliged to because of the second lockdown) and didn't reopen in December (even in areas where they could have, e.g Liverpool).

I don't think it makes sense for anybody to use vouchers on films they have no interest in seeing.

I contacted the Lifestyle Benefits team last month and received the following in reply:

I can confirm that your Cineworld tickets have been extended to 31/5/21, I appreciate this is not much of an extension from your original date but as we are no longer are in partnership with Cineworld this has made it harder to come to an agreement for any further extensions.

I've gone for the Gourmet Society this time.

Jus wondering if anyone has expired Vue tickets and received an extension email? When I called earlier in the year, they said they would be extended but not heard anything since or received any emails at all.
Yes - when I contacted them in April, I received this reply. I would recommend emailing them so you have something in writing when you turn up at the cinema - I wouldn't fancy trying to argue the toss with someone on the day!

Thank you for contacting the Club Lloyds Lifestyle Benefits Helpdesk.

Upon latest communication from the Cinema companies, I can confirm that your 2020/21 Vue cinema tickets have been extended to 31/07/21

Please note that the original voucher codes you were sent have had their validity extended on our systems so you will not require new tickets.

On one occasion I did make a direct complaint to Lloyds and they gave me £50.00 as compensation because the tickets could no longer be used. However this time around I'm leaving it to the company who administer their rewards system.

I had a telephone call from Lloyds Bank today and according to them the cinema tickets in question did not expire until 31 May 21. However they thought it was unfair to expect me to watch 12 films from the 17 May from when the cinemas reopen so they paid me 12 x £5.99 per ticket. So in total came to £71.88. Very good outcome.

So have people been getting responses from the Lloyds Bank Lifestyle team? I have reported the lack of my Gourmet renewal this year on three occasions, once by email and twice by phone. Email got no response, while on one phone conversation it seemed obvious she hadn't got a clue what I was talking about.
Up until now it hasn't really mattered and maybe its still not an issue in the short term in the return to something like normality, but with all this furloughing going on customer service is seriously lacking everywhere, but it may be worth another crack?

Have you got details of the company who administer the tickets that you got in touch with?

    Thanks

Just ring the Lifestyle Team telephone number on 0345 303 0303. They will then ask you for your account details and can deal with any issues from there.

That seems like a very positive outcome for CRISPIANNE3.

I had six Cineworld vouchers from my Year One Club Lloyds Lifestyle Benefit membership valid from 01/11/2019 to 31/10/2020.

I had previously messaged Club Lloyds in October 2020 about the imminent expiry of these vouchers during the period where cinemas were shut down in my area. I had received no response to my message, so I emailed them again in January 2021, and they responded within two working days and advised that the Cineworld vouchers had been extended to 30 May 2021.

I phoned Club Lloyds today about the extended expiry date of the cinema vouchers soon approaching and spoke to a polite representative, she was able to offer:

    ·         a further extension of Cineworld vouchers due to expire on 30 May 2021, with a new expiry date of 31 July 2021,

    ·         or swapping the Cineworld vouchers to Vue vouchers which will now expire on 31 July 2021.

    ·         There was no cash-equivalent offer made to me.

I had already selected six Vue vouchers for my Year Two Club Lloyds Lifestyle Benefit, valid from 01/11/2020 to 31/10/2021.

So I now have six cinema voucher tickets with an expiry date of 31 July 2021, and a further six cinema voucher tickets with an expiry date of 31 Oct 2021

Not ideal but better than expired vouchers with no alternative offered up by Club Lloyds. I will watch with interest if cinemas do open up again in line with the restriction easing dates.
