This is the designated drop off area!
Is there a designated drop-off area? What do others do? You cannot be the only kind-hearted person dropping off their partner.Le_Kirk said:
Maybe other people have been scammed with these charges!?0 -
Get a dashcam , nextbase are good , good video evidence
Maybe your insurance fitted a box black box ? Like insure the box do ?
Anpr cameras are not fit for purpose and never have been for parking issues2 -
I have google maps but couldn't work out location history and it was three weeks ago. Fortunately I have a post office receipt from 1/2 hour after I left the hospital.Ralph-y said:do you have a smart phone with something like google maps on?Ralph

😄 good idea but that would be awkward to achieve in practise.Umkomaas said:Depending on which way the cameras face, for your exit, fix a cover (piece of pre-cut card with a bit of gaffa tape or blutak for a quick temporary fix) over your rear or front number plate, then remove shortly after passing the camera and before you hit the public highway. You are under no obligation to expose your VRM to a private companies spy cameras!0 -
Maybe not as awkward as having to face a court case with a potential £175 costs attached to losing against PE.Steve_63636363 said:

You are under no obligation to expose your VRM to a private companies spy cameras!Going back to the dates on the Notice to Keeper. If the parking event was 30/12 and the date of issue on the NtK was 16/01, it's highly unlikely that PE have complied with PoFA to hold the registered keeper liable. On the reverse of the NtK, is there a section headed 'Protection of Freedoms Act 2012 (Schedule 4)'?Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

But how likely is a double dip claim likely to be won by the PPC?You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -
Unlikely, but the hassle of defending it would still have to be traversed!D_P_Dance said:Maybe not as awkward as having to face a court case with a potential £175 costs attached to losing against PE.

That's not particularly helpful with regards to this charge though.Umkomaas said:

So the NTK is non-PoFA compliant. If that is the case, the NTK won't mention the PoFA 2012 on it, in other words it is a golden ticket.Steve_63636363 said:
Thanks for your advice. You will do, or face a potential credit-trashing CCJ against you. But firstly you must complain to the PALS at the hospital as well as to the hospital Estates and Facilities department (or whichever department deals with parking). Provided you don't miss the PE 28-day deadline for your initial appeal, get on with the above first. But you've already had the NtK since 30 December, so precious little time left to do that in. Please see the NEWBIES FAQ sticky, first post, for the template.
I didnt receive the letter until the 20th Jan and the PCN is actually dated the 16th Jan with the alleged offence being on the 30th of Dec. The hospital are giving me the slight runaround but I will persevere with them. Fortunately I have also got a receipt from a post office at 9.10 am on the 30th Dec, three miles from the hospital.
As long as the driver's identity is never revealed, you will win at PoPLA if the scamvoice isn't cancelled.
You should still do all the complaints otherwise it will keep happening, over, and over, and over again.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister.

It was a simple response to your reply about covering number plates. Rhetorical in some respects, but very practical, depending on how often you're being scammed! But it could be a reality. A couple of years ago, PE were the most litigious PPC in the country, with over 110,000 court cases commenced against unsuspecting motorists in one single year. It was carnage on the forum!Steve_63636363 said:

How about the rest of that post which looks to be the potential showstopper for you? Or were you looking to focus on a minor point you seem to dislike?
Have you checked out the status of your PCN on the PE website yet? Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
