I lost my ntlworld.com email account when I had to start a new virgin  account in my name. Previously the virgin account had been in my fathers name. So I think you will lose any access to that account.

    Almost certainly.

Set up a GMail/Yahoo/Outlook.com email and next time you move provider you don't have to worry about losing it :)
  • Thanks for replies. What internet speed do we require for 2 TVs, 2 IPads using WiFi and only downloading films, no gaming?

Have you checked what speeds are actually available at your address ??
VM is a totally different higher speed network .

Use the Address Checker here (as it probably wont recognise a Virgin phone number):

    BT Broadband (btwholesale.com)

Move to Sky from Virgin over 4 years ago, and I still have my ntlworld.com address. But a word of warning I do get a vast amount of spam emails to this email address since cutting my ties with Virginmedia.

  • Don't mean to highjack, I'm moving from Virgin, do I need a landline to have BB, currently, I'm looking for a new BB supplier
I'm hopeless with technology, in addition, I suffer with MH issues, what may appear simple, I struggle with, may I ask, please be patient, thank you

    No or yes .
No if you use mobile network or  satellite .
Yes if you use standard BB service you need the so called landline for the data to travel down .
Usually bundled with BB contract pricing .
  • Hello JJ
I had a Virgin package, BB, LL, TV, I've cancelled TV & LL, but kept the BB @£31pm for 50mg, just wondering if I need to keep the LL
