Please I require help. I am new to the site, aged 69 and must be pretty thick as I have searched for two days trying to find the correct info and template letters that I require to send to these parasitic companies - without success, (there is so much info for me to take in) . My request, no doubt will be one that has been repeated numerous times, but I did try! I recently received a letter from dcblegal asking me to pay an amount of £170 for a supposed parking infringement in September 2015 at an M20 service station (Esso) purportedly controlled by CP plus. I have never received any documentation regarding this so-called infringement until recently, the 16th January 2021. I wish to appeal, I am aware that I need to write to CP plus in the first instance contesting the parking fine and also to dcb legal to inform them of my actions. Please can someone guide me on the right path and help me with constructing a letter to both of these parties ?
Once again my apologies for a repetitive thread. More information will be supplied upon request.
Thank you (in advance) fingers crossed

I am aware that I need to write to CP plus in the first instance contesting the parking fineNo you don't. And it's not a fine. You are getting 'debt recovery' chasers from DCBL Recovery.
All you do is complain to MOTO (or Roadchef's?) Head Office and pour your heart out and it will be cancelled. Tell us if that works, or fails. Do it now.
By the way, your car is registered at an old address which is a serious error you need to put right with the DVLA.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

It's exactly the same as this new one, and the ones we saw last week and the week before, that MOTO have already cancelled:

MOTO (or Roadchef if it was one of those Services) need to get more complaints and realise what they have done to people by using CP Plus and letting them loose to sue people now that COVID has cut off CP Plus' pseudo 'penalty' route to income. The more complaints the better.

Many thanks for your help, I sent two emails to Roadchef, now waiting to see if I get a response.
If not, I suppose I shall have to use Royal Mail, but how long do I wait for an email reply ???2 -
If not, I suppose I shall have to use Royal Mail, but how long do I wait for an email reply ???Give it a week? But you're just as good at guessing 'how long is a piece of string' as we are. This isn't rocket science! Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

PS. Just to let you know, my V5, licence and insurance have all be updated as soon as I have relocated in a new house. Also I moved house a couple of weeks after the stated date in 2015, but no mail was ever forwarded to my new address concerning the above. Since 2015 I have moved house 3 times, mainly for health reasons - I do not intend to (cannot) move again.2

I have a court claim against me from the same people i.e. CP Plus via DCBLegal which relates to the same serious crime of overstaying in a Roadchef MSA five years ago. I have emailed contact@Roadchef.com on 12/1/21 with my complaint and tried calling three times on 01543 272540 (also left voice messages) but nobody at Roadchef has had the decency to reply or even acknowledge the email. I just wondered if you were trying the same email and phone numbers?
At least with Moto they do respond quite quickly, Roadchef are generally unhelpful.2 -
Yes, this is the same email that I have used 'contact@roadchef.com' as well as their automated one. No reply yet but its early for me. If I hear nothing by next Monday I will send it in writing (signed for) with the same copy sent to my local MP, quoting on the letter to CP Plus that he will be copied the same. And maybe add:- (Failure to respond: If CP Plus Ltd fails to respond in writing within the prescribed time limit of seven days, the grievance shall be deemed settled in favor of the appellant.)
Don't really know what follows after that, if I don't get a reply.
But many thanks for the message.0 -
Yeah that line means nothing. Dont bother.1
