If you are in the habit of talking to complete idiots such as DRP, waste your time :)
DRP are no doubt the most pointless company in the UK

  • Hi all

Here is an update from the BPA today!

Basically they closed the case as after details given to them from MET saying blah blah i had been 3 chances to appeal and letters where sent out to my name and DVLA address.

Well looking in detail of the copys BPA sent me of these 3 original letters from MET has my name on the them but totally wrong house number by over 40 digits!

Also MET (surprise surprise) said they never received my letter I sent them!  Even though it went to a PO Box through Royal mail & i payed extra and proof its been delivered and i sent a copy to BPA.

I get the feeling BPA on there side, but what would you recommend i write back to the BPA about the address number? (If you see part of BPA letter below, now i do have proof to MET i never received the letters)
Ive double checked my log book and my correct address.

    Part of BPA reply letter......

While I appreciate that your position is that you did not receive correspondence prior to receiving letters from the debt recovery agents, as we have no means of ascertaining whether correspondence has or has not been sent or received by either party, we are unable to become involved in a further dispute on this point. As we cannot investigate postal delays, you may wish to address this with the Royal Mail.

    Any help much appreciated.

If not Ive got 6 years of Dept letters coming through the door to look out for a CCJ.

Is the address on the 3 letters different to what's on the V5C? That's the crucial thing.

If so, then you have proof positive they were sent to the wrong address, so send another complaint with your proof to the BPA.

And if they were sent to the wrong address (i.e. your V5C is correct and MET were the ones who got the address wrong) I'd be escalating this case to Sara Roberts, a Manager who handles AOS complaints at the BPA, unless she is the one who replied to you already.

  • Thanks for help.
Yes all 3 letters where addressed wrong.
    I'll keep you updated......
  • and yes my V5C is my correct address
  • So
    - V5c states House number 35, Acacia Avenue
    their letters went to
    - 75, Acacia avenue? OR similar. Just being precise.
"wrong address" covers far too many possibilities, we need you to state exactly how they got it wrong.
You got your V5c out to check? What is the DOCREF date on it?

Send your evidence to Sara Roberts at the BPA and escalate this complaint, that's part of her job:

    sara.r@britishparking.co.uk

and make it clear that MET proved they had sent their letters to the wrong address (not the DVLA address on your V5C) and as for your own letter, you attach evidence that it was posted and signed for, so you want to escalate the complaint and do not consider this closed with the BPA.  The person who answered your complaint has brushed everything under the carpet and failed to look at where MET actually sent their letters and has believed them that they 'didn't receive' a letter that you can prove they signed for!
