Its almost like they are doing us a favour. Obviously before price match they were just ripping us off and charging as much as they could get away with.
Whining about 'rip off' prices is a bit silly since following that to its logical conclusions you are basically whining about your own pay packet being excessive.lemondrops69 said:DiddyDavies said:lemondrops69 said:IvanOpinion said:As do all wholesalers and manufacturers.

If not, what possible relevance does it have? and why did you feel the need to even mention it?
IvanOpinion simply stated that you were wining and there was nothing stated or implied about your gender.
Not sure what the issue is here? I just said I didnt think the Tesco was pitched very well, to me it seems they are trying to make out they are doing you a favour. Then I get a lesson in economics and business
Maybe its the grumpy old man syndrome, or is that just stereo typical? Chill out guys
Anyway I'll leave you to your grumblings, stay safe
One of the features of this forum is nobody knows who is who so unless you tell us we wouldn't even know you were female; yes i realise you have a profile picture of a woman but that could be a picture of anyone.2 -
Can we stick to the subject please ... "Is 'price matching' a rip-off ?" ....
Quick answer, IMHO, is 'yes' .. if you think it through what they are saying is 'ALL our products are normally more expensive than the opposition (insert name here). We will REDUCE some to MATCH (the opposition). You will pay MORE for EVERYTHING ELSE we have NOT price matched'.
However the GOOD thing about a 'price match' is it tells you where the everything else can be found cheaper :-)
(PS I'm told Aldi / Lidl actually pay their ship floor staff MORE than the 'average' i.e. Tesco/Sainsbury .. so they are plainly doing something right ...)0 -
