EDITING PROFILE/SIGNATURE

This has possibly been asked before, but I can't find it.

How do I edit my signature?  On the old site you opened you signature, changed to bits you wanted to change and clicked save.  This no longer works.

Top right on the green/blue banner on any page you will see a bell an envelope, a bookmark and profile.
Click on profile and select edit profile then carry on from there.

Thanks for the quick response, Duncan.

That's what I have been doing.  I change everything I need to in the signature and save it, but it doesn't save any of the changes  

Don't suppose you've got any other ideas what it could be?

I'll try again, though.  You never know...

I have never bothered to have a signature so not sure of the process, I just know where the buttons are

I've just had a look - when I go to change mine message says "you don't have permission for a signature".
I didn't actually want one, I was just checking how to do it ......

Hi Voces - thanks for the reply.

Mine doesn't say I can't have a signature.  I'll see if there's anything it says I can't do, though!

Not sure what you mean about it having worked - the one you can see at the bottom of my posts is the one I 'brought over' when we had to move over from the old format.  I haven[t been able to change the details in it since then.  Last time, I deleted the 2020 entries and typed in 2021 updates.  As you can see, despite saving the changes it's still reverting to the early-2020 stuff.

GOT IT!!

I went back to look if there was anything it said I couldn't do.

It said "No Images allowed".  I didn't think I had any, but it obviously considers the website's own emojis to be unacceptable.  So I removed the smiley and hey presto!

What a performance...

Hello ... I am trying to add a signature to my profile but have a note I have no permission to do so ... just like #Voces.
Anyone else had a similar problem and resolved it?
I think it would be great to have a signature with my progress to keep me motivated.

Keep on posting, you will get there eventually and no, I am not telling you how many posts are needed.
