Hi, not been on the Vegas thread since 2015 (long story)- Was JadamcP back then but changed e mail addresses etc etc and I'm JadamcB.
just read a large percentage of the thread, there have been some changes since I was last in Vegas in 2015
I'm booked with BA holidays from Glasgow.on 2nd July for a week, staying at The Venetian, first time there but my 11th time in Vegas.
Any recommendations for new shows, trips to Grand Canyon or champagne brunches ? I've never been to the canyon, just never got round to it.
Thanks for any advice or information you can give....1 -

Resorts World, Circa, Park MGM, Allegiant Stadium... enjoying Venetian/Palazzo...
Sterling brunch is no more for high end buffet-type affairs, I'm keen to try the weekend breakfast buffet at Veranda at Four Seasons. Supper clubs are the newish 'thing' which might be up your street, though appreciate they're not brunches.1 -

The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.1 -
Just logged onto MGM rewards, my Tier status is literally 100 and I can book four nights comp at Excalibur or two nights at some other resorts. And heavily discounted prices on other rooms.
I was quite surprised to see this at such a low tier status. Shame flights are a fortune, the sooner Manchester flights resume the better!3 -
robrymond…Are you saying direct flights from Manchester are coming back ?0

It is ridiculous that there were multiple daily flights from Manchester at one point when Thomas Cook flew there as well as Virgin.2 -
Apart from covid, the other reason we have not booked a Vegas trip is the lack of a decent flight to Vegas. We stopped doing lay overs years ago..too much hassle as you get older, so only flew direct from Manchester with either TC or Virgin.
Virgins “best” Man-Las flight now seems to be a quick stop in Amsterdam, then direct to vegas.
Otherwise it’s a trip down to London, then direct from Lhr…don’t really fancy that either.
I was hoping you knew something that we didn’t, and someone was going to start with direct flights from Manchester again..it’s criminal that there isn’t an option anymore.1 -
I have been looking at MAN-ATL with Virgin in mid May but that seems to have disappeared. I have done a couple of trips recently to
Orlando and there were lots of empty seats with VA and Aer Lingus so I doubt MAN-LAS would do much better.0 -
Hi all,
Not been to vegas with hubby since 2016, I went back in 2017 and 2018 with work for a convention. But have had two kids since so this will be a special trip without them to celebrate my 40th.We go in 4 weeks so over Memorial Day weekend, so first two days are blacked out for myVEGAS rewards. But we have both got the konomi free play sorted and some credit when spending $50 at Tap and Public House.
I checked our mgm account last year and we had a comp available so that was the deal breaker in going - a 1 bed penthouse suite at Mandalay Bay. Not stayed there before. And it came with some f&b credit and freeplay.
Starting to get excited now!3 -
Have a great time.0
