Correct, and you don’t have to fill out a PLF either. Also face masks are not obligatory on flights to and from the USA it’s been been announced
What is a PLF?   I am still trying to work out what I need to fill out to fly to the USA

Well, we also randomly bumped into nvh in the conservatory and stopped for a chat! Hope you both enjoy the rest of your trip, sounds fun!.

Given so many people here at the moment, that was quite surprising! Great seeing you both too :)

So - have toured Zion, Monument Valley, Flagstaff and Sedona, so quick update on our last 4 nights in Vegas…

Originally booked for Caesars Palace but they pulled the rug on my (undeserved tbh) diamond status so had switched to Park MGM using 2 free nights MyVegas award, and the Thurs / Fri as cash. Quite cheap deal -  been a good while since I stayed here (as Monte Carlo) but a great choice as you are quick and easily onto strip, or monorail up to Aria / Bellagio, plus the casino, pool and rooms are all non-smoking.

Originally got given a room with a connecting door and screaming devil children next door so we were quickly moved to a room on a higher floor without a connecting room within an hour

We’ve mainly spent the last few days around the pool - there’s 3 pools here inc. 1 adults only (tho lazy river has gone) but always seems to be loungers available which is great.

Saw Lady Gaga on Thurs - I wasn’t that fussed about seeing it but she put on a good show to be fair. Wasn’t cheap, but was entertaining.

Vegas is absolutely heaving on Fri / Sat. If you have plans for restaurants, book in advance to avoid disappointment. Couldn’t get in Hells Kitchen. We did go to Lemongrass in Aria (Thai - cook to your spice requirements from 1-10… spice heat 5 blew my head off!!), Amalfi in Caesars Palace (Italian, very very good), Chart house at Golden Nugget (seafood - also good) and Javiars at Aria (Mexican - pretty sure we ate all the chips they had)

Casino wise. Haven’t won / lost much. Probably a marginal loss for the trip. Everyone loses though don’t they! Drinks seem slow sporadic. We spent most our time gaming in Cosmopolitan as had best drinks service / drinks. Few occasions we found it cheaper just to go the bar for a while! Did head downtown as tables cheaper down there - no $5 BJ on the strip anymore? Still lost plenty downtown tho! Chandelier bar (level 1.5) in Cosmo did some great cocktails though. Highly recommend the “we’re all mad here” and “verbena” (this is a ‘secret’ off-menu cocktail with a “buzz button”)

Hire cars - Had a guaranteed “Hendricks Camaro” with Hertz… it was allegedly broken so we’re switched to  mustang 5.0 convertible… what a let down of a car that is - already had a decent deal on the car though and they sweetened it further so not the end of the world

Last point, Uber has always been cheaper than Lyft for us (sometimes significantly) apart from on one occasion. Definitely worth comparing them both when booking transport

Passenger locator form. You have to fill out  an attestation  form when you go to the states, you can do this at checkin desk or if you use the VeriFLY app it’s on there.

there is now no requirement to wear a mask on flights to and from the US now either
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

NVH, the soft top Mustang is pants, we had one as an upgrade, you can only get luggage in the back seats with the lid down.
Now the hard top is another beast.

AA did their usual thing of changing our flights in August, the return had us sitting in DFW for 12 hours and PHL for 11 !!
I found much better flights and called them up, they switched us to that itinerary without question.
The main problem was that it  lands in DUB 3 hours later and we would have to change our onward Ryanair flights back to BHX at a cost of £95
Told AA this and she issued me with a travel voucher for that amount.

I’ve had them before, but never the 5 litre one. Made lots of loud popping and banging noises but packed as much of a punch as a chihuahua 🤣

The new model doesn’t fold into the boot anymore, but it’s still fairly limited space so had to lob a bag on the back seat

Oh dear! I hope it’s not too bad and doesn’t affect your travel plans.

Tony had it and had no symptoms at all.
