That's what I thought.soolin said:Do not close the case, you cannot reopen it. Tell seller not to post it but to give you a refund instead, then start again if you still want the item.
The message was only sent today, they've attached a scan of the proof of postage, it's dated the 16th January and 2nd class small parcel, so not a lot that I can do.
Ebay can be asked to step in from 20th January.
I'm inclined to think that it was missed and never sent in the first place.Move along, nothing to see.0 -
Yodel is the worst out there. I saw a driver get out of his van, without a package. He must have a card ready and stuck it through my letter box, so although the card said that he tried to deliver, he did no such thing.0

Item received today, all good and as described.
Case closed.
Thanks for guidance.

I know this turned out a little differently here but thought I'd add this in case anyone searches and wants advice. As a seller this has happened to me, item tracked and signed as delivered but the buyer never received. It's not common but it's not unheard of. Always contact the seller first as they are best placed to sort it with the courier, if possible. On one occasion the buyer went straight to Ebay/dispute, as I had the tracking details they lost a claim for non delivery. Fortunately I'm honest and managed to sort this with the courier and the buyer. I appreciate some sellers are a waste of space and leave no option but to go to Ebay but always worth trying it out first..1

You should always keep the seller onside, there are the ones that you will never succeed with but if you explain that you need them to dispute the delivery, they can do this for you without any risk to their money as the claim will always favour the seller with POD.

Sellers also need to keep the buyer onside as well as it can make a real difference. I had a couple of very late parcels incoming around the end of November last year and treated the sellers differently. One had uploaded tracking at point of sale and it showed the normal holding message for standard 2nd class parcels, just the ‘it will be updated on delivery’. I let the seller know it was very late and they were very reassuring, asking me to keep in touch and suggesting a time frame after which we might have to go to an INR case in order to reclaim. I was very happy to wait on that seller and never did open a case. The other seller annoyed me, was defensive about the parcel, told me it wasn’t his fault and sent me a scan of the POP and told me to chase it up myself as as far as he was concerned it was in the system and he had fulfilled his obligation by providing me with a scan of the receipt. I opened an INR on that one, and the seller responded by saying that buyer had been given POP and was unwilling to chase this up with RM ! Luckily the parcel finally arrived before the INR timed out so I closed the case and left no feedback.theonlywayisup said:
