Indeed, and that has been confirmed by the Claimant - the CCBC have passed a copy of your Defence to them.Le_Kirk said:
Well, that cannot be right as you have filed a defence!jordan91 said:I checked my MCOL before posting this morning and it said the latest document was Acknowledgement of Service but just wanted to make sure I had not missed a step.
Phone the CCBC and get them to correct your MCOL Claim History.2 -
Okay, so I received my Directions Questionaire and I am ready to send it off to the courts.
I am aware that I need to send a copy to the claimant company so I have downloaded the form and wondered if I should just send that to them by email as they did to me?

Remember that list you were following that told you how to file your Defence?
Well go back to it and read the lines after...6. After filing your Defence, there is more to do.In particular, item 10 on that list will help you.
Also read item 9 on that list.3 -

Hey guys.
So I have created a link containing my Witness Statement that I need to send off shortly and I was wondering if anybody would be able to give it a look and let me know if I need to add anything or take anything away.
I need to tidy up the formatting but I just wanted to make sure that this was acceptable.
Here is the link https://smallpdf.com/shared#st=b17aabcc-3d6d-4147-9c7a-1415e1447655&fn=WITNESS+STATEMENT+ANON.pdf&ct=1621369422134&tl=share-document&rf=link

If you want the Judge, or the Claimant, to look at your exhibits, you must reference them in your WS text.
For example, it you are writing about a poor quality sign, you might say...
The writing is tiny, very high off the ground and covered in graffiti - see exhibit JD01.
...where JD01 are your initials followed by a sequential number.

#7 - 11 looks to have been copied from a POPLA appeal. That's not reading right for a WS.
Have a look at the WS example from @jrhys and use that as your case instead, obviously changing all the parts that are factual about his case.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

There is a typo in the sole name of the claimant0

Thank you guys. I will amend it later and check back with you.
I have just received the Witness Statement from the Claimant as well. Does it matter that they have filed theirs before me?0 -
Does it MATTER? Surely it's obvious that it helps you to use your WS to respond to their rubbish?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
