Thanks all! I worked it out wrong also as I didn't know about the £12PH between 5-7. So more likely £500/550 a month!

So, I have induction for my new job next Saturday. I start Sunday at 4am. Its £9.50PH between 4-5 -7-8 and 5-7 it's £12PH. There's loads of employee benefits, gym free health care cycle to work scheme and I can buy shares.

My shifts are Wednesday and Friday during the week, which is ideal as I have my current job that's 8.30AM until 5PM now.

My take home at the end of each month should be around £1800. As I'm not really sure on tax and NI on the new job. Ideally I plan on using my extra wages to pay off my debt.

Why is 5-7 more,  I would have thought earlier would have been more for unsociable starting time.
Free gym - can you cancel the one you’ve just joined

You should only pay tax on that at 20%.  NI is done for each job individually so under £600 would not have any charged.  So £500 gross should get you take-home at £400.  You should be safe for a couple of years with no NI, but I suspect with all the HMRC stuff now online that this gov will look at all those people having several jobs which don't pay enough to be NIable & see their next money grab.
