Help! Claim issued against me for parking ticket

I’ve received a claim form from the court, issued by BW Legal on behalf of premier parking for a parking notice charge issued over a year ago. I have acknowledged service but now need to send in a defence. I’m so poorly at the moment with severe pregnancy sickness that I just can’t think straight...please can someone help me with an up to date defence? Thank you

Yes, there is one prepared just for you (well actually anyone who comes here) and you will find it amongst the first five threads on the first page of the forum marked Suggested Template Defence.  Read it and follow the instructions.
If you post here the date of issue of your claim form and the date you submitted the AoS, then @KeithP will be along to give you some deadlines and further advice.

Thank you so much. The date of the claim is 16th December and my AoS was 29th December. Thanks again, I really appreciate it.

With a Claim Issue Date of 16th December, and having filed an Acknowledgment of Service in a timely manner, you have until 4pm on Monday 18th January 2021 to file your Defence.
That's one week away. Plenty of time to produce a Defence, but please don't leave it to the last minute.
To create a Defence, and then file a Defence by email, look at the second post in the NEWBIES thread.
Don't miss the deadline for filing a Defence.

You only need to amend and show us paragraphs 2 and 3 of the template defence that are specific to your case.

  • Either I'm blind or the search engine does not work for me... I've tried to find any topics about how to defend in case of flipped over ticket but when I put the phrase like "ticket flipped over" I most likely get topics about overstayers, parking over lines etc. which do not fit to my case. I'm sorry to be such an ignorant but can you tell me what phrase should I put into search field? One of the topics I found somehow useful (blaming air vents for flipping the ticket over as I always use windscreen blow): https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/3011586/parking-ticket-flipped-over-and-got-a-fine but what about the rest?

That seems to be a strong possibility - you're posting on someone else's thread that seems to have nothing to do with a 'fluttering ticket' (there's a clue for you)!

    Why post on this thread?
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

First result when searching for "fluttering ticket" but as advised by @Umkomaas you need to put this on your own thread. https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/comment/77870923#p1
  • Oh I'm really sorry about that - I have mixed the topics because I have over 20 tabs of moneysavingexperts forum opened at the time...! My posts can be deleted from this topic then. Once again, sorry.
