Can't you look on rightmove and make some appointments to view a number of houses in one day. Hire a car and drive over to view them?

Suddenly my Christmas doesn't seem so bad. I feel for the kids. Stuck in a campervan with their parents for Christmas (and beyond).Splatfoot said:
Why? I'm asking a serious question! We are a family of 4 living in a motor Home in the winter. It's not ideal.hazyjo said:Surprised nobody's mentioned the dog/bag for life thread yet lol.0 -
Well, our kids are quite fond of us. Must be the way we've brought them up. They're pretty excited about their new lives, albeit now delayed somewhat. Not all teens hate their parents you know.moneysavinghero said:

When you are stuck in a campervan for weeks, everyone is going to end up hating everyone.Splatfoot said:

I did a move to Wales a few years back. My advice would be to rent as it's not such an easy transition as some would hope .
I moved from Oxfordshire and stuck it for a year ... the positive turned out not so positive in the end.
I was moving on my own so no family members to worry about but with children it can be even worse.
A daughter and her partner of a friend who had 2 young children when they did it and sadly are still there as they just can't afford to move back1 -
