Last two are not bad, both 5k price drops so far as well.AdrianC said:
The photo is of the top edge of the floorplan. The bay in the pic is the front bedroom, the lounge is at the back.Shelldean said:That floor plan isn't for the house that's photographed is it???
The floor plan shows the front door leading into the lounge and no door leading out of it
The photo shows the house is an upside down L shaped. With the front door on the left alongside the garage!
Not only are the bedroom and the "additional room" next to it blind, but the kitchen/bathroom/dining room are going to be oppressively dark, with their windows opening onto a narrow passageway. The description doesn't tie easily to the floorplan - three beds described as having windows? I think the blind bed is "bed 2" (described as having a window - onto the garage, behind the built-in wardrobes?), and the dining room is "bed 3".

The photographer was proud enough to watermark the image? Unless it was watermarked by their rivals as a finger-point...

Anybody else wondering "non-standard construction"? I'm mildly surprised it's freehold - I half-expected them to be ex-LA, with the LA still being leaseholder.
It's firmly in the somebody else's bargepole corner.
This is less than half a mile away, and cheaper - https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/98475377#/

Just because someone is a FTB it doesn`t mean they can`t handle refurbishing a house, they might work in the building trade for example.Mutton_Geoff said:Kirkii27 said:A - a property which needs a lot of work doingB - around 5k saved to do the property upC - I’m a first time buyer so any advice would be greatA is greater than B and does not equal C.Listen to the experienced people here, look for something more suited for a first time buyer. You'll have enough to do even in a modern new build!0 -

Yep sorry my mistake!
Still no door shown into lounge tho! 😁0 -
Brimg a childless couple is probably the best time to buy a fixer upper providing the price reflects the work which id often doesn't. I keep seeing houses that are absolute dumps being advertised for £5,000 less than a liveable one because theres sn “opportunity” ... for what a bad back ?2

Don’t forget bungalows are usually more expensive than the equivalent size house. They can sell very quickly though, where we live just blink and the bungalows sold0
