  • Here is my first attempt at a flannel cupcake - Need a thin flannel for the creamy bit as I bought 4 for Asda and they are to thick! Also need to get a little something to go on the top - Does anyone know where I can get some red bath pearls? (I have tried Ebay and Googling it!)

I was just wondering, I have 30 of these cupcases and would love to get some more different ones. Would anyone be willing to swap a few for different ones? Not to worry if not, if you dont ask, you may not get! :)

Can I ask where you got your cupcake cases from - I am making some of these and cannot find anything to put the flannels in!

If you want really think flannels try the 99p shop - they have 8 for 99p! Obviously they are a bit naff for that money but if you only want a thin bit for the cream part they are ok! I have given up the search for red bath pearls and used purple ones on some and on some I have just used red pom poms from hobby craft -they look good but are pretty useless - bath pearls would be much better!! I have also found a few small heart shaped soaps - not tried em out yet but they might do. I got them from love bubbles . co . uk (sorry won't let me post links but take out the spaces!) they are not on the website but I saw her at a fair at the weekend - she said drop her an email and she can give prices etc. She also sells mini bath fizzers which might be ok as a topper

have just read back a few pages - re the brown flannels - our wilkos has thin ones for 29p or 3 thicker ones for £1 There arent many decent flannel shops around here!! But I have made a few of the reindeer without the antlers and called them bath buds! Makes them more versatile and of course you can do them in whatever colour you like!

Hi by the way - yes I am new to this thread!! I only joined MSE cos I found this thread and the nappy cake one but have been making these and nappy cakes for a while now.
  • Thanks for that Brudie, off to have a nosey at her website. I wonder if you could make your own red bath fizzers! Maybe an idea...
