Julie H - How did your fairs go . Must say I'm very tired but it was good. Had stalls Friday night and Saturday almost sold out so I'm very pleased £600 in 2 events!!!! Havent taken out costs yet. Will post more details and photos tomorrow. Thank you everyone on MSE for the inspiration and drive to make me believe I could do it:T :T :T

    WOW!! Very well done.

I did my first school fair today (mainly hampers and snowman soup although I did have a few sock and flanel muffins) and thought I'd done well taking £90.
Where were your fairs as epsom is only a stones throw from wimbledon where I was and Mitcham Where I live.
Hope you don't mind me asking.

  • This thread is fab but very long!

Can someone please direct me to where I can find instructions to make the flannel reindeers. They will look great in my sons' bath bomb hamper.

I am also going to have crack at the cupcake and swiss roll ones for my niece.

  • Pictures of my first cupcakes, i had great fun making them and think they have come out well (although no a patch on what some of you have done). Thanks for the idea. I made some tags on the computer, by chance a program i was using had a picture of an angel flying carrying a wooden spoon (rather random!), so i printed that with the text "hand 'baked' with love, Vikki" in the wings

these were the first "flat" ones i did, they have a cherry flavour lollipop in the middle P1010532.jpg

then when i started rolling at an angle i thought they looked better without the cherry
