My guess would be the meter readings should be 2206.0; 2763.2; 2883.1; 3188.0
That would be 982 metric gas units equating to approx 10,970kWh

@Cardew - I think we already established over the page that the meter is displaying in kWh, not m3 - that seems to be where the error is occurring - see the photo posted.

To the OP: as theoretica said, you need to explain to them that your meter seems to be displaying the kWh reading, not m3 (cubic metres) and your usage is significantly lower than you've been billed - by a factor of just over 11.

Maybe go back to the same person you've already spoken to, as they're already familiar with your case.  Show them the photo you've posted here, with the meter display - did you take any others when you did the meter readings already submitted - if not, start doing this every month when you submit readings - the few seconds invested might prove really valuable in times of any billing dispute.

Thank you very much guys you saved me a lot of money . I had paid over £2200 for gas and if I didn’t call they would hadn’t said anything and kept their mouths shut . I’ve used £900 in gas electric combined for 10 months so they will be refunding me a large amount of money back . Thanks guy I really appreciate your help god bless you in this life and the here after

Delighted that you've been able to sort it out without too much of a battle.  Makes you wonder why BG were so accepting of such wayward figures and didn't ask you to check for such things - I've usually found the staff there to be pretty sensible.

Must be a weight off for you - going forwards, as well as getting a decent refund now.  Please do though continue with taking monthly readings and taking photos and storing them somewhere sensible.  It makes sorting such matters much easier to unravel.  It's helped me enormously a couple of times.
