As a previous consumer of home brew kits and stuff, I'd say swerve this. I could be wrong but I reckon they have declined in popularity. I had some pretty good success with them mind, especially a rather nice Belgian triple made with Belgian candy sugar!

If we're talking 'lockdown' investments I'd look elsewhere... I wanted to get a rowing machine in late December due to getting a bit more cash, 15 week waiting list from Concept2!
Lockdown combined with new year and the usual demand for gym membership surely means stuff like sales of kettle bells, dumbells, fitbits etc will increase?

It'll be nothing like as bad as the first lockdown.  You could have sold a barbell and some weights for 3-4 times the original purchase price.

If you can boil a kettle you can make beer...the exception to that rule is Heineken and Molson who make John Smiths Smooth and Carling. Homebrew kits have come on leaps and bounds since the early 80s when I first started. Done loads last year and never had a dud. Takes up very little space and you can reuse 1 litre PET bottles to store your product. I hardly ever bother buying cans now and turned my greenhouse into a pub during the summer. For the full Spoons experience i put down some psychedelic carpet offcuts and invited a tramp to mumble abuse in the corner when I opened up at 9am for "coffee".
I use Brew2Bottle for supplies and they are always prompt at delivery with a good selection. Seriously folks, if you want to save money and lose friends try homebrew. Still miss the tramp though, never calls, never writes........
