Sorry about the job. That was one long selection process! We've all missed out on jobs and know how heartbreaking it can be.

    Be kind to yourself.

Money not going that well... Dishwasher has died, car need a new clutch and now the washing machine is on the blink. Oh and the hoover broke too!
On the plus side. It is the holidays!! Once I know how much the car bill will bill I'm going to plan some fun festive treats with the DCs. Can't believe it is nearly Christmas!

  • Thanks @savingholmes
On the plus side I have scored some mse wins.
    Car renewal was £491.
Said I wasn't happy and they reduced it to £457. Said I'd shop around and miraculously it became £420!

Also used my hotels.com reward night towards a night away tomorrow. Should be a nice treat, especially as we are still stuck without my car.
Looking forward to a Christmasy rest!

  • Thank you @savingholmes hotel was lovely.
So the car was £1250. The bought a new dishwasher for £700..although saved £25 as they said they couldn't install it...my DH had a look and plugged it in. Honestly! A pricey one but hopefully it will last.
Switched current accounts. So £175 should be winging it's way to me on the 10th.. fingers crossed.
Oh and 5,000 of the 15,000 word dissertation complete. Woop woop.

    Happy new year everyone!
@savingholmes wishing you lots of good fortune for 2024.
Our mortgage usually goes out on the first but hasn't presumably due to bank holiday. So I will do a mortgage update tomorrow. As well as setting some new 2024 goals 😁

Signed up for 40 miles in January for the royal Marsden...
Hoping to kick start the fitness. I WILL loose 2 stone this year, so I'm starting as I mean to go on.
To ensure I can actually run I've ordered three new giant sports bras. I'm just too fat for my normal ones. I feel this is therefore a purchase towards getting to my weight goal. Plus they were reduced to £13 each from £45, so 3 for 1!

Good luck with your health and fitness goals. I haven't yet found a sports bra that agreed with me...
