Declaring early for 7/13 please Cathybird.
I gave in to temptation on Wednesday and again on Thursday. I am planning 3 AF days this week, Monday - Wednesday and 4 AF days next week Monday - Thursday to hit my target of 13 this month. As a reminder to myself for why I am trying to do this if I make 13 days a month x 12 months it is 156 which would mean I finally hit my mythical goal of 150 days a year.

OK, please skip over this next bit - I just need to howl into the void somewhere today....
My lovely OH has his birthday later this week and I am really stressed about how to make it fun especially as he doesn't enjoy video calls with friends, although he suffers a weekly one for my sake. Trying to brace myself for the next round of disappointments when summer music festivals are cancelled. All the things I do apart from work involve large numbers of people packed into people's homes, pubs, festival tents, theatres, comedy venues... I feel like my whole life apart from work will be banned in 2021 as well as 2020 and I am feeling really low.

I can associate with that, but we all have a lot to be grateful for - things we really take for granted.

WBF, sorry to hear you're feeling low, I do think if the vaccine works the way it's expected to life could return to something approaching normality, maybe not this year, but soon, though maybe the crowds will never be as big as they used to be, but there will be visits to venues xx

I’ve shelved my plans to go and watch the Ashes this year, I’d kind of resigned myself before Christmas, but it’s pretty much confirmed and if I’m going all that way, I’d rather not compromise.

I feel for you WBF. Like you, I'm missing all the social things I normally do. I was looking at my CC bills and they chart all the hokey cokey policies in the past year. Huge tranches of nothing but supermarkets with the occasional restaurant or theatre thrown in when we were able. We've been lucky so far  in that all family occasions fell when things were open. Not hopeful for my birthday in March though. Maybe it'll be a fish supper! 😋🤣
