I agree, it's much harder this time round. My husband's drinking is off the scale and it is so tempting to join him😟. I won't but the sheer monotony makes having a drink pop into my mind more than it has for a long time.
I am 13/28 for yesterday please cathybird. Thank you. X3 -
It's the not being able to make plans that I am finding hard. I think if I could book a holiday knowing it is more likely to happen I could accept the isolation but for me, booking something now would just be another stress, will it go ahead or not. I'm back to trying to lose weight and normally second week in I am ok but this time not opening a bottle of wine is really hard some nights. I'm very impressed pixnmix that you resisted even with a bottle of wine in the fridge. Now a gainfully employed bassist again - WooHoo!4 -
RobM99 said:I can't disagree with any of this. The things in life I enjoy the most are not based at home but I can't do them. Even with the vaccine (I'm close to 65) it's really not going to make a lot of difference.
I'm another who drinks to the Mastermind principle. I hate the idea that I could allow myself a measly little glass of wine and then have to stop whether I wanted to or not. Safer that I don't start until I have a planned drinking day. It's not that I go mad but I like to have the choice.
I don't blame anyone who decideds to have an ad hoc drinking day. We have to get through this however we can. 😊
8/10 AFDs please Cathy
