    I think 10 days is brilliant manpants. 😉 Aiming for Dry January in your circumstances was too big an ask IMO. I'm not necessarily advocating what I do (aim low and then be pleased if I exceed the floor target)  but I'd definitely say to everyone, be kind to yourself. It's tough times and I think we're doing really well to acheive each AF day, many people aren't even trying. 😊

    I can identify with the 'thinking about not drinking' coveredinbees. I need something to look forward to and there's precious little of that at the moment. I try for  the occasional AF Friday but it makes me miserable all day. I think it's just the thought of not having the WooHoo the weekend's here to punctuate the week.  🤔

    11/10 AFDs please Cathy

    @cathybird thank you.

    Ha, yeah, more !!!!!! challenges in my head than a cheesy 90s game show lol.

    Shouldn’t have too much of a problem with the drink tbh can usually take it or leave it. Hoping it’s a little win each day tbf.

    @ManPants that’s awful re your family. Can’t help with that other than to say sounds like they are not worth your time mate.

    Been there many times with the panic/ anxiety stuff though. All I’ll say on that is it will pass mate. Doesn’t feel like it when it’s happening though.  If it helps I’ve been there. Full panic attacks, !!!!!! hospital A&E and had all the heart tests everything - panic attack and then get some heart consultant telling my wife I need to learn to chill out stop sniffing the stuff too but different matter there ha.

    Hi everyone. Just found this forum and would like to use it to help me hit my Dry Jan target (hence the name have given myself). I found myself having too much to drink last year (I was probably not alone in that), but that coupled with my diet slipping into junk food territory, started me thinking I should get things under control.
    So no alcohol in Jan and also started a raw food vegan diet. The raw food diet is much harder than the alcohol abstinence and am giving it to the weekend. If I don't feel a sudden rush of energy and motivation by then it may go by the wayside. But am hoping to have a better relationship with alcohol by the time we can all go out again.
