I really enjoyed my massage today. He said next time he could manipulate my neck as I said that was the area that I most had the problem with. He gave me a leaflet on neck pain too to read.
It was so hot out that I was really glad to get home and switch on my electric fan. I am going out tomorrow to the optician to choose some frames as they had a special offer. I am booked in to the optician in central London for next week as well. I may as well get more than one frame to wear.:)5 -
I was thinking of something along those lines, a soft grey/green. Then a couple of nice big longish narrow rectangular planters under each window to finish off. Maybe bay trees in nice smart pots either side of the front door.4

My Champagne moment yesterday evening was going to Karaoke and singing 4 songs. I had such an enjoyable evening. I still have manicured finger nails and toe nails as I gave myself a manicure and pedicure at home for the party on Sunday. I painted my fingernails with a clear gel nail polish and gold nail polish on my toe nails.

Feeling dreadful, combination of paint fumes and heat exhaustion. Just going to take it easy today. Although odd job builder here today. Can't really face it but darent send him away, it might be months before he's free again. 😂🤣.Champagne moment....just done a financial review. I'm doing better than I'd thought. 👍😁
Might do some more decluttering today. Stay indoors out of the heat.4 -
I just went to try on frames for my glasses. Well, I took a picture with me and the guy found a similar frame so I didn't really try many on at all.
There is an offer for £40 for frames and lenses and he said it might be ready by next week as I'm going into central London that day.
I need to book a restaurant online for my, my friend and my brother for next week just before the concert.2025 GOALS

Hello my lovely friends.Champagne moment, waking up and realising that dreadful nausea has gone.Have been to Aldi, stocked up on healthy stuff. The diet/healthy eating programme starts again today. Whilst I was so busy with the painting marathon and fighting paint fumes induced nausea I was just grazing, grabbing food on the run. So now it's time to get back on track because I want to lose 1 stone by Christmas. Also popped into a local chazzer, picked up a couple of books and a fab faux suede maxi skirt in a lovely shade of deep mustard. I'm having a major wardrobe turf out, getting rid of all the boring browns, greys and beiges. Time for some colour and add a bit of pizazz.Nearly bought a spotted 101 Dalmatian style faux fur jacket but thought it was a bit pricey. I'll wait a week or so and see if they reduce it. 🤞😂🤣. I need another jacket like I need a hole in the head so I can afford to gamble and see if they knock a bit off.4

Getting back on the healthy eating wagon at this time is a good idea. It's just lb a week to lose a stone by Christmas so it's definitely doable. I'm sure once you start again you'll want to keep it up especially once you see the numbers coming down on the scales. I know that's what motivates me!

My Champagne moments on Friday and Saturday were all to do with my sister R paying us an overnight visit. Also because she came to the pub with me on the Friday night for an evening of dancing and we had fun together.
I danced with this man that asked me to dance for 3 dances, but then I was not keen to dance with him again and told him that I did not want to dance the next 2 times he asked me. The next time he asked me and I again refused, he tried to grab my arm. I had another man come to my rescue and he got rid f the man that was making a nuisance of himself. I was relieved that the other man stepped in to diffuse the whole situation.

Oh dear, SUgarbaby, that doesnt very pleasant. Sounds like a lucky escape. Whilst I like strong and powerful Alpha Males who have "presence" and leadership qualities I can't stand aggressive controlling men. There's a difference between assertiveness and aggression isn't there.I watched the film "Somethings Gotta Give" the other night. A middle aged rom com with Jack Nicholson and Diane Keaton. A lovely champagne moment for me because It was like watching my husband. It brought back so many memories. Jack Nicholson and my husband could have been twins, same looks, same wolfish charm, same charisma, even the same funny little quirks and grumpiness. When my husband was being grumpy I used to laugh and say "what's the matter Jack?"Like Nicholson my husband was a real alpha male, he lit up a room just by his presence and he would have people hanging onto his every word. He was a great raconteur and would have people spellbound as he spinned his yarns and told stories. Men wanted to be his friend, women adored him and flirted with him, children made a beeline for him and even dogs would lie at his feet gazing up adoringly at him.But for all his charisma and confidence he was never loud or aggressive and would never have pestered a woman, in the way that man pestered you. In fact he would have been like the man who came to your rescue, all ye olde worlde chivalrous knight in shining armour.I wish I could find another one like him.....😉Very tired today, I have just finished a couple of hours gardening but I think it is more a case of all my painting and DIY-ing has caught up with me. I am experiencing a bit of a fibro flare. I am a mass of aches and pains, so I am now sitting up in bed, electric blanket on, nice and cosy - hoping the heat and rest will work their magic. Luckily I have a massage booked for tomorrow. And thankfully, the real hard graft is finished now so I can rest on my laurels for a bit and take things easy.Had a nice lunch with my friend yesterday, but I am a bit concerned for her. She had to go back after a mammogram and have a biopsy. 🤞🤞. I just hope it's a precautionary measure. It really pulled me up, she's 10 years younger than me. Made me feel so grateful and humble for my good fortune and good health. Yes I have a few health niggles now and then and fibro isn't much fun but at 70 I consider myself very fortunate to be in pretty good nick.Other champagne moment was getting my hair cut on Friday. Different hairdresser but she did a good job. It always makes me smile when they comment on my hair colour. I told her that in my lifetime my hair has been just about every colour of the rainbow but what you see now is what you get. I'll stick with being a "Silver Fox". Or maybe that should be "Vixen". 😂🤣5

LL it was a tiny blip in a great night out. I was relieved that the 2nd man intervened, because I was about to lose my temper with the 1st man and it would not have been pretty. LOL!!!!
I have been going out on my own for so many years and I can take care of myself when it comes to black men that get over excited and try to 'claim ownership' of me because I have been polite enough to dance with them when they get up the nerve to ask me to dance with them.
There was another 2 men that were interested in me, before Wayne showed up, but I did not return their interest.
At 59 years old and obese at 16 stones 21ls, I am always surprised at just how many men start to show interest in me every time I go out to the pub. I take it as a compliment.I also had some lovely compliments about my dancing
