Hello my lovely friends......
Up with the larks this morning , in fact before them. I love it. I love summer mornings when it's bright and sunny and you can get up and get cracking. And not forgetting.....the early bird and all that.😂
So I hit some chazzas first thing and snaffled up a jacket, a sweater and 4 tops all for £15. Good makes too.
It might sound crazy but I'm pouncing on nice winter clothing when I see it, so that I can have a good stock this winter. Last winter I had plenty of really lovely sweaters and sweater dresses but I felt they were too good for lounging around the house, so because of lockdown and not going anywhere I ended up wearing the same tatty past their sell date jumpers and jogger type bottoms. In the end I was sick to death of them. I felt and looked like a bag lady. Not a good look.😉 So Im making sure that this winter that I will have lots of variety, both going out and "at home" clothes. As well as sweaters I am picking up wool trousers and wool skirts. The shopping area I visited today has a big Wilkos so stocked up on cleaning materials and toiletries as well as their bargain summer bedding plants. There's also a fab traditional green grocers where I picked up a huge box of cherries for £1. I am just about to prep most of them for the freezer.Happy days. Well chuffed with my bargains today.10 -
That is a very good price for cherries.
I went out early today as well but I wasn't so lucky with the charity shops. I didn't see anything in the four shops I went into.
I have been for two walks today. It makes such a difference being sunny and bright to my mental health. Walking around the streets when it is dark and gloomy, or worse raining, was just soul destroying during lockdown.
I have just taken off the nail varnish on my toes and used Original Source mint shower gel on my feet and then put on heel balm and then a pair of fluffy socks. I will redo my nail varnish tonight.
I have my jab on Monday morning. I just got a reminder text today.

Showery first thing which I guess is a champagne moment if you're a plant, lol 🤣
Despite being damp out there I spent some time just wandering along the winding gravel paths, observing what is doing well (and what isn't 🙄). It was so peaceful with just the sound of the occasional lamb or cow in the distance....plus all the chattering birds 😃
So many roses are budding now - as well as loads of other shrubs and perennials - I'm getting excited as I always do at this time of year. I'm impatient for everything to burst into a blaze of colour, especially as most things are getting bigger and better with every passing year! We've had some beautiful gardens before - including another, a bit smaller than this, that again we designed from scratch - but I truly love (and am very proud of) what we're creating here ❤️❤️❤️Mortgage-free for fourteen years!

hope you are all well. Not had chance to post for a while. Champagne moments last weekend in Blackpool for 2 nights with my Sister and Brother and got glorious weather on the saturday! this week its half term and got family here. Doing some sorting in the garden. Had a big pampas removed from the rockery, going to put some bark down and bought a couple of lovely hydrangeas yesterday which will go in my chimney pots. I love these, they will add some gorgeous colour outside. Off for a swim in an hour or so then a coffee with a friend after, tea out tonight with family. Enjoying everything being open. Enjoy your bank holilday

Spent the weekend at my parents' again, just me and dds (husband is in Africa) and we had a great time! It's so good to reconnect properly. It was lovely in their backyard, which is small, but full of flowers; it was nice to walk into town with dds and eat churros in the sunshine (we shared a small portion). We visited a botanical garden where my parents have a membership, and dd2 was free. Mum cooked her specialty pasta dish, and we enjoyed the local bread (so much nicer than the bread where I live now).

Good Morning my lovely friends.Hope you are all well, enjoying this lovely weather and indulging yourself in some nice champagne moments.Last week I dipped a bit, a lot of fibro pain and felt a bit "widowy". Completely lost my mojo. I allowed myself to wallow in misery for a couple of days to get it out of my system and then gave myself a stern talking to. 😉.Anyway, I'm back on my Miracle Mornings, and feel tons better already. I've got my mojo back. I am exercising every day, I am dressing up and showing up and cracking on with things. I have been soaking up all that lovely Vitamin D, 😎. I have treated myself to some charity shop bargains and yesterday I had a massage so what with a combination of being tortured and daily exercise my pain levels are coming down.So all is good. Just need to keep up the routines now. Busy with my little business, making good steady progress. Still decluttering........😌.Still dreaming dreams and scheming schemes. 😂🤣Have a great week y'all. Keep those champagne moments flowing.❤️10

My Champagne moments on Tuesday were playing quick fire quizzes with my younger son and daughter and beating them hands down again and again. Sweet times for me, as they usually beat me., especially if the quizzes are music based. There was just so much laughter in my home.
My son did his last exam for his degree on Tuesday. I am so proud of him for sticking with his degree and completing it in spite of the pandemic
I had my tooth extracted in my lower jaw yesterday at King's Dental Institute and it all went so well. I had minimal pain after the extraction and no bleeding. My daughter took over all of the washing and drying yesterday as she insisted that I had to rest even though I was not feeling unwell. I did not look that particular gift horse in the mouth, I let her get on with it, put my feet up, watched television and had a nap.8 -
hi , been following but not posted for a while. I have my Daughter, Son in law and Grandson here for the week. We went to the Sandcastle in Blackpool yesterday and had a lovely day. The weathers been glorious, but dull today and showers expected.I am off to a Mama mia murder mystery on Saturday on Embsay railway with my Sister in law, my late Husband's cousin, and 2 friends. Should be fun! then that's the end of the half term holiday. I have managed some gardening so feel that I have done something. I bought 3 lovely hydrangeas and was going to buy an olive tree for 29.99 when a lovely young lady told me that Morrisons have these on at 15.00 at the moment. I will try and get there and see if they have one, we have a Morrisons in a neighbouring town.I have been using Bondi sands gradual build up tan to put a bit of colour in my legs ready to wear a dress on Saturday!7

My champagne moment today was sitting in the sun this afternoon in the garden with a home made (scone) cream tea and reading my book
It's the little things isn't it?
