Happy New Year to all on this thread. I don't usually post but always read. Sugarbaby, I am in awe of all the theatre events you get to see, and liberty_lily I love the photos you post, I'm slowly doing up my home and love seeing and reading about your progress.

My Champagne moment today:
I realised that I hit my savings goal for 2022 of adding another £3,000 of savings in premium bonds.
I used a total of £836 on my Gas prepayment meter throughout 2022 and £915 on my Electric prepayment meter. I only spent exactly £350 more in 2022, than I spent in 2021 which is really good, considering all of the prices rises for energy in 2022.

Morning all,
I was thinking today what small pleasure do I enjoy and it is having a scented candle in the bathroom. I prefer it over air freshener and has the added bonus of using up the candles with scents I don’t enjoy.6 -
My Champagne moments today:
I went to see the musical Hex at the National Theatre this afternoon. It is absolutely captivating. The actors both male and female are so talented and have such beautiful tones to their voices. I got my ticket which was worth £36 (over 60's price) for only £6.50. For me this musical is a 10/10
I managed to buy 2 Elizabeth Arden Red Door gift sets from Boots online for £37.33 each with 100ml Red Door EDT, 75ml Body Powder and 100ml Body Lotion. Considering the 100ml Red Door EDT sells for £59, I did not hesitate. They were sold out by the next day, so it was a good job I snapped up 2 of them. I am all set for 2023, at a real MSE price.
I won £25 on my premium bonds today.

My Champagne moments today:
I went to the Ritzy cinema today to watch the period drama about Empress Elisabeth of Austria called Corsage followed minutes later by the family drama Aftersun.
I got a member silver screen ticket for corsage for £7, but I used £2 of Tesco Clubcard vouchers to buy a £6 Picturehouse voucher, so I only needed to pay £1 on my debit card.
I used one of my free members tickets to purchase my Aftersun ticket.

My Champagne moments yesterday evening:
The party in the Flower of Kent pub for my friend's birthday was a fantastic night out for me. There were lots of people and the DJ played the right tunes to keep us all dancing. The food was great. I had a piece of fried chicken, a piece of fried fish, a piece of jerk pork, 2 chicken wings, some salad and some coleslaw.
I saw Tony , who is an ex and he made a point of coming over to speak to me and he said 'you look good' which was a nice compliment to receive. Tony and I only had a few dates and exchanged a few kisses before he let me down and I cut my losses. He was before Wayne. I had a couple of slow dances with Tony later in the evening, but my arthritis was quite bad, so I was glad to sit back down on my seat. I was able to stand up and dance at times, but mostly I had to dance sitting down on the chair I had secured for myself when I first arrived at the pub. My other ex Wayne, was also in the pub. I would not have realised he was there, if he had not made a point of walking past me and staring at me. I just gave Wayne a little wave of acknowledgment. I also had attention from this other man who is a regular in that pub. He wanted to know why he had not seen me for so long and wanted me to know that he had missed me.
I layered my Red Door with the body powder, the shower gel and the body lotion. I wore black mascara, brown shimmer eye shadow and gold eyeliner. I wore red lip gloss and painted my nails with clear nail polish.
I left the pub at 3am. I had a bit of a wait for a night bus that could take me back to Camberwell, but the party was worth it.

My Champagne moments yesterday:
I got a set of Joseph Joseph of 3 chopping boards and a storage rack as my Christmas present from Blackfriars Settlement. As I was not at the Christmas party, they had kept it for me. The set retails for £55 on the Joseph Joseph website. All of the presents were donated to Blackfriars Settlement by Joseph Joseph. I do not need this set, so I have put it away to gift it to someone else later in the year.
I received my January £67 Energy Support Scheme voucher yesterday4 -
How lovely for you to receive that gift, Sugarbaby....and for Joseph Joseph to donate gifts for you all 😁 I love my JJ chopping boards from Homesense/TK 🙂
My champagne moments continue to involve no expenditure (although the other day DH picked up an iced Christmas cake in our local Co-op that was reduced from £9 to £2.50!) as the new living spaces evolve utilising pieces from elsewhere in the house 😉 Today I moved a cased antique taxidermy kingfisher from the guest room to one of the side tables next to the big sofa and swapped the cushions around for the billionth time, lol 😆
We've also sold a few more unwanted items - mostly fabric and artwork.2
