My Champagne moments yesterday:
Yesterday evening I went to the Ritzy cinema to watch the film Hit the Road. It is an Iranian road trip comedy drama. The family consists of the father, who has a broken leg in plaster, the mother, the older son and the younger son. It was incredibly funny. I laughed out loud from beginning to the end. The younger son was so cute, so cheeky and so talkative, he was the star of the film for me. This film was a 10/10 for me, even the subtitles takes nothing away from the film. I got a free ticket worth £8.70 as I am a Picturehouse member.
I got a cold weather payment of £25 from the DWP.4 -
I bought a new calendar so I went through it today and wrote down all the things I have to do and remember next year. It took ages and I felt quite chilly after so I put the heating on for an hour. Tomorrow I have to check the energy readings online as I haven't checked it since we have had the heating on.
I started my £1 a day challenge for Christmas 2023 early. I found a box and put £5 in there.:)
I'm quite glad I haven't got much to do over xmas. I am thinking of taking my dog for a walk on the beach xmas day and then making dinner when we get home. I am going to drop off the donation bags to the charity shop tomorrow and I might look for something to wear out on New Years Eve.3 -
Hello my lovely friends.Champagne moments galore, including getting my internet sorted, but the biggest and best was legally completing the sale of my house and moving into my rental home,
Its lovely and I feel settled already. It's just a few streets away from our old family home so I know the area well. It feels like I've come home. I know I shall be very happy here.Anyway.....the end of an era and the beginning of my new life, the next chapter. I have lots of plans and ideas. I will be looking to buy a new house next year but for now I'm just going to rest on my laurels for a while and enjoy a well earned sabbatical. Time to kick back and recuperate from my Herculean labours.Looking forward to Christmas and onwards to 2023.9 -
My champagne moment today was finally being so satisfied (actually more like ecstatic 😁) with the state of our newly transformed living spaces that after all our hard work on them over the past year we can put our feet up at last!

You two have done so much work in your home. Lovely.:)
I am getting my house painted in January by my husband's friend. I'm going to be highly boring and do the whole place magnolia or white. That is probably your worst nightmare when it comes to decor!
I bought a few nice things from a charity shop today. A jumper and a gold clutch bag to wear out on NYE. I also went into a local vegan restaurant as I saw on Instagram that they do some interesting sounding beers. Not cheap exactly, but it is Christmas! I'm sipping on a carrot cake flavoured sour beer now. Very nice and refreshing.2025 GOALS

Merry Christmas!
We just had dinner and I feel stuffed. We took our dog to the beach earlier and it was surprisingly busy. I'm so happy I finally made the move to the seaside this year.

My Champagne moment today was opening my Christmas presents from my son and daughter who live with me. I received a 'new' Marks and Spencer black leather long jacket with a faux fur collar, which is exactly what I wanted and 2 new books which I wanted. I feel really blessed.
