My Champagne moment today:
I went to a restaurant in Wardour Street with my daughter this afternoon. We had a lovely Mediterranean 2 course meal each. I had a Groupon which only cost me £23.10 for food that would have cost me £46.50. My daughter had these lamb filled pastries for her starter and I had chicken wings for my starter. My daughter had marinated cubes of chicken breast with a side salad, mayonnaise, French fries and half a flat bread and I had marinated cubes of lamb with a side salad, a hot and spicy tomato sauce and half a flat bread. All of the food was absolutely delicious and the waiter was attentive without being intrusive.
We will be returning in the near future with my son, as they gave me a 40% off voucher to use on our next visit.3 -

Think of us when you are up there giving your Oscar acceptance speech. 😁 give us a nod.My champagne moment today will be a massage. Gawd but I need one, I'm walking around like Quasimodo at the moment. Not a good look. 😱😂
Slow progress on the house sale......moving along at a snails pace. I really would like to avoid moving in the dead of winter.....3 -
My Champagne moments on Friday:
I went to Poetic Unity at Black Cultural Archives for the Open Mic poetry night. I performed 2 of my poems: What If? and My Personal Revenge Wayne. They both made people laugh and were well received. I had a good evening as the other poets who chose to perform were extremely talented.
My Champagne moments on Saturday:
I went to the 5 Star Sea Containers Hotel on the Southbank for our Neighbourhood Voices final Masterclass. We had a panel of 4 industry professionals who gave us solid advice about the craft of playwriting and also answered all of our questions.
Lunch was laid on for us all in the hotel. We had a choice of 2 types of pizza, macaroni cheese, fish pie, this sausage casserole type dish, watermelon with feta cheese, beetroot salad, roast chicken quarters, slices of wholemeal bread followed by some decadent desserts with or without luxury ice cream. We also had a choice of soft drinks.
At lunch, 3 of the professionals sat at the table I was sharing with two of the other women. We were able to talk to the three of them some more and get to know them more on a more personal level, which made for great interactions.
I wrote some more words of my play this evening so now I have written 6,854 words. I have Act 3 of my play to write, then I am done.5 -

Thanks Sheila
My Champagne moments today:
I went to The Garrick Theatre to watch The Drifter's Girl again this afternoon. I had a £75 ticket which had only cost me £15, so I had a really good seat 4 rows from the stage on the end of a row. That way, I can move my legs around and put them in the aisle when necessary, to stop my arthritic joints seizing up. I spent the whole musical singing and dancing along in my seat. I had such a fabulous time.

Thanks Wednesday. No plan, I have just tried to cut out all of the unhealthy snacking I was prone to. I ate mostly healthy meals but I was snacking far too much on things like cakes, biscuits, sweets and chocolate.3

Can anyone recommend where to buy some good quality cutains at a not too expensive price. My daughter has just moved house and is especially struggling to find some for her patio doors she needs 90 inch by 84 inch drop but hasn't seen any that length and doesn't sew to take them up herself. Thank you.
