My Champagne moments yesterday and today:
Yesterday evening, I went to see the play Intervention at The Greenwich Theatre. This time there were no issues with the 177 bus. The play was okay, but for some reason, it just did not keep me engaged, my mind kept on wandering onto the mundane issues I am dealing with like housework. For me this play was a 6/10. I got my ticket for £6.50 and the normal concession ticket price is £21 so I saved myself £14.50.
This afternoon I went to The Young Vic to see the interactive performance Of The Cut. I explained to one of the hosts when I arrived, that I had Arthritis and would not be able to stand and I was assured there would be seating available at all of the stops along the way of the tour. It was to celebrate 25 years of The Young Vic working with the community. I absolutely loved it. I would give it a 10/10.Tickets were offered to everyone in the Neighbourhood Voices group, but there was no one else from our group there today. This was a completely free event, open to anyone living in Southwark and Lambeth.
I decided to part with one of my 18ct gold chains that I bought on eBay just over 3 years ago, as I realised that I hardly ever wore it, as I prefer my other 18ct and 9ct gold chains. I sold it to Hatton Garden Metals for just over £417.

My Champagne moments today:
Today I went on a day trip to Hampton Court Palace with Blackfriars Settlement. There were 22 of us and 3 members of staff. We all had an enjoyable time looking around Hampton Court, eating our lunches in the sunshine and buying ourselves souvenirs in the shop. Blackfriars Settlement had free entry tickets for us, so that saved me £26.10. I had no travel costs, as you can take the train from Waterloo Station to Hampton Court Station and vice versa with my 60 plus Oyster card.I bought a guide book in the shop for £4.99.
I treated myself to a double scoop of chunky chocolate and mint choc chip ice cream at lunch time for £4.20. It was absolutely delicious.
I also treated myself to a ride in the horse and carriage for £5.The shire horses are magnificent.
One of the men on the day trip complimented me on my outfit.

my champagne moment was a few days away visiting my eldest Daughter, son in law and Grandson. They recently moved from Colchester to nearby Arlesford. Had a lovely day at the beach in Walton on the naze, weather gorgeous

Shelia you obviously had a lovely time visiting family. Nothing beats it in my opinion.
My Champagne moment today was taking my son to Beboz Italian street food in the city. I got a Groupon for the 2 of us for only £13.27. I saved £15.63 on the menu prices. I will be taking my daughter next visit with the other Groupon.
We had lovely fresh pasta and flat breads with cheese with a can of coke for my son and a bottle of San Pellegrino for me.
I had wholemeal fusilli with spicy chicken, spicy tomato sauce and lots of chargrilled vegetables. My son had spaghetti with meatballs and tomato sauce topped with cheese.
We both really enjoyed our meals and it was nice to spend some time one on one with my son.4 -
Thanks Sugarbaby. The worst bit was the trains and tube. I have to go into London. Coming back I nearly missed my train trying to find my way around. I have drove in the past but find it stressful. All being well me, my sister and Brother are going on a cruise on Wednesday. I hope to get back to Colchester at October half term and we want to do a show in London and an overnight stay. I will have to look for some deals too Sugarbaby

I was feeling sorry for myself today as I have injured my shoulder and I'm on painkillers, but I thought I would go out for a walk as it is beautiful and sunny weather. I ended up at a nature reserve and then I went to a few charity shops on my way home. I bought a dress, a skirt and a top and I managed to get in over 8,000 steps too.:)

My Champagne moment yesterday:
I went to the Southwark Playhouse yesterday evening to watch the musical Tasting Notes. It was a very entertaining musical. The actors were all really accomplished singers as well as actors. For me this musical was a 8.5/10.
I only paid £5 for my ticket where it would normally have cost me £20 for a concessions ticket at this theatre, so I saved myself £15.

My Champagne moment yesterday:
I went to the Dorfman Theatre at the National to see the play All Of Us. I got a £10 ticket in Friday Rush for a ticket worth £35, saving me £25.
It is a play that challenges our assumptions and preconceptions about the abilities and personalities of disabled people. It is a riotous celebration of 2 very strong disabled female actors who both are main characters in the drama.I hope that other plays will now have disabled actors front and centre as main characters.
The play totally captivated all of my senses, thoroughly entertained me and had me leaning into the action at times. I absolutely loved it.For me this play was a 10/10

My Champagne moments yesterday:
Yesterday evening I went to watch the musical about Bob Marley's life, Get Up! Stand Up! and it was absolutely a fantastic, joyful evening out for me at the Lyric Theatre in Shaftesbury Avenue. It was another 10/10 for me.I had a very good seat in the 3rd row from the stage, at the end of a row, which gives me extra leg room. The seat was worth £75 but I got it for £29.95, a substantial saving for me.
