Champagne Lifestyle on a Lemonade Budget - 2021

For the last afternoon of our vacation that had no other obligations listed (such as medical checks, back-to-school shopping, ...) I took my dds to a recreational area about 30 minutes from where we live. Entry was free, we had a lovely walk / climb, there were large wooden trolls to spot, a 700m barefoot walk to enjoy, and an interesting playground for both the 14- as well as the 11-yr old. We brought a picknick. It was just what was needed before the busy ordinary weeks start again.

@Auntycaz there are some companies online that will alter ready-made curtains that you buy from them for a small charge - this is the one I found recently:

My Champagne moment today:
I won £25 on my Premium Bonds4 -
I have decorated my house with autumnal decorations. It all came from Amazon, charity shops and second hand shops. I have had some good bargains lately at charity shops. I was looking for an orange throw, but I found a furry dark green one and a furry red cushion today which will look good for xmas on my chairs or sofa.:)4

My Champagne moments yesterday:
I went to the Ritzy cinema in Brixton to watch 3 films. I watched the period drama Mr. Malcom's List, then The Forgiven and then Queen of Glory. My favourite was Mr. Malcolm's List which was a 9.5/10 for me.The Forgiven was a little too predictable for me, so 7.5/10 for me and Queen of Glory was also predictable but was disappointing, as the camera work and the quality of the whole film did not live up to my expectations. Even though the story could have been powerful, the delivery fell short. For me Queen of Glory was a 6.5/10.
As I used my Tesco Clubcard vouchers to buy the 3 cinema tickets for £3 each, I only spent £2.10 cash on the 3 booking fees.
The last time the Ritzy was this busy on a Saturday was before the pandemic. It was good to see large numbers watching each film once again.4
