My Champagne moments yesterday:
I went to the mental health and wellbeing discussion group at Blackfriars Settlement. It was a lively, interesting discussion. Yvonne recently turned 60, so she bought a selection of cakes for us all to enjoy. I had a jam doughnut, which was fresh and delicious. She also invited us to her 60th birthday party on Saturday 2nd July, which I am looking forward to attending.
Yesterday evening I went to Brixton Library for an event with 4 of the local playwrights who completed Neighbourhood Voices in 2021/2022 and it was a very entertaining, inspiring evening. They had laid on free snacks and drinks which made the evening for me, as I could have a couple of small treats. I had a very small amount of dry roasted peanuts, 2 chocolates and 2 glasses of cold sparkling water. I also got a copy of the book Brixton Trails which are walking trails in my borough, which would normally have cost me £9.99.

My Champagne moment yesterday evening:
We had a face to face masterclass with Flo Dessau at The Young Vic. Some of the group could not attend in person, so they were on zoom, but it was a very productive and enjoyable masterclass. We tried our hand at some new writing techniques. The Young Vic laid on some refreshments and various soft drinks. I succumbed to the Thai sweet chilli Sensations. They are my favourite crisps, which I had not eaten for a few weeks, as I am trying to lose weight, but I did not even bother to try to resist them. I did not partake of any of the other delicious food and snacks on offer. I had a healthy dinner waiting for me at home which I only had to microwave.
I also spoke to one of the dramaturgs from The Young Vic about having feedback on my 1st play and she asked me to email her with possible dates for a 1 to 1 zoom meeting. I emailed her this morning and she replied with a date and time for 30th June.I wrote some more of my play in free hand last night.
My Champagne moments today:
I got a call from one of the colposcopy nurses. She said that they will be discussing me at the next multi-disciplinary meeting to decide whether or not there has been enough changes in the cells in my cervix to warrant further action: the removal of the cells. I will be informed of the outcome of the meeting and what decision has been taken about any next step.
I finally received a letter from Lambeth council about the £150 council tax rebate. I just have to take the letter with suitable ID to collect my £150 from a local Post Office. It is too hot today, I will collect the £150 next week.

My son, after dropping out of uni returned after a bit of growing up and work experience, has just graduated with a First Class Honours degree in Computing Science. I'm bursting with pride! He's dyslexic so the academic side wasn't easy for him but he is apparently very, very good at programming. He now has a guaranteed place for 2 year as an intern with a "major bank" with time allowed for working abroad.
Did I say I was bursting with pride
Congratulations on the new family member sugarbaby125.10 -
