Does it count if it is something you volunteered for? Our church has an annual cheese-and-wine-night for the church members to reconnect; I have helped organise it for the last 4 years. It means some planning and shopping in advance (I was in charge of soft drinks this year, which I donated), setting the church hall up, serving, cleaning up afterwards. It's about 3 hours work in advance, then 7 hours day-off, almost constantly on my feet, and some financial calculations the day after. It's great fun!Anyway, the organising committee gets to split the leftovers, so I came home with 8 kiwis (they were decoration on the cheese serving plates), a large bowl of nuts and raisins, a bag of pretzels, 2 packs of butter, 3 tupperwares of different cheeses, 1 tupperware of deli sandwich meats, and 1 baguette. I paid €39 for me and 3 children (2dds and a friend), I paid €15 for the soft drinks I donated, but I think the value of what we ate and what I brought home was more than thatAre you wombling, too, in '22? € 58,96 = £ 52.09Wombling in Restrictive Times (2021) € 2.138,82 = £ 1,813.15Wombabeluba 2020! € 453,22 = £ 403.842019's wi-wa-wombles € 2.244,20 = £ 1,909.46Wombling to wealth 2018 € 972,97 = £ 879.54Still a womble 2017 #25 € 7.116,68 = £ 6,309.50Wombling Free 2016 #2 € 3.484,31 = £ 3,104.598

That sounds very promising, Helen...hope the viewings go well 😊
Champagne moments here -
Yesterday our new (to us) loveseat purchased on ebay was delivered. Including courier costs we paid just £145 - not bad considering I was looking at brand new ones at around the £1000 price point. It's stunning, in pristine condition and will look fabulous in the living room once all our alterations are complete 😄
I decided to use the £150 council tax refund to purchase a new garden parasol as the one DH and I both liked best was that price...so it seemed daft not to 😉 It's due to be delivered today.
Finally, almost four months after ordering the massively heavy structural beams for the reconfiguration, yesterday they finally came home 😃4 -

Hope everyone is having a good Jubilee Bank Holiday?!?!
DH is working over the two holiday days, so I've been making the most of the sunshine, sitting under our new boho parasol reading, writing and enjoying the garden 😎
Right on cue, my Royal Jubilee rose opened today....8 -

This weekend's champagne moments......
Finishing laying the stone flags in the outbuilding and getting the remaining t&g done. Today I'm priming and eggshelling the latter 😉
The flags were originally intended for the bathroom and were another ebay bargain at just £250 for 12 sqm 😄2
