Finally, back. Was locked out of the site for some reason. Took me several attempts to change my password. Technology eh.😂
Champagne moments......the jubilee. Loved it.Also getting my house on RM and starting the viewings. Let's 🥂to a nice easy sale and full asking price. 😂🤣5 -
Champagne moment today was actually picking up my phone and speaking to two different friends. I had almost forgotten what it was like to do this. Such fun. Much better than just texting which is what I usually do. Especially with the one friend who I only meet up with once a year.Debt free and Keeping on Track4

I didn't do anything for the Jubilee but we did go for a walk near the local beaches with my dog which was nice as it was sunny. I was supposed to go out in central London but I couldn't bear the thought of how busy it would have been.
I have rejigged the layout of my house and made the dining room (which we barely used as my husband works shifts so we often don't eat at the same time!) into a second living room. I much prefer it as I had a few niggles with the other layout. It does mean we don't have a TV in our bedroom now but that isn't a big deal.
We also went back to the local second hand furniture store on Saturday and got another nice TV unit so that was a champagne moment too.:)
I am planning on having a NSD (no spend day) today as we have been spending too much and I'm also trying to eat at home more so I know that will save money. There are so many lovely restaurants and cafes where I live and I have been ordering from Deliveroo too much! It will probably help with my health too eating more at home. I'm just about to make a nice, fresh chickpea salad with a lemon and olive oil dressing.

I thoroughly enjoyed watching all the Jubilee coverage on TV too! I particularly loved Her Majesty taking tea with Paddington Bear 😊
Hope the viewings are going well, Helen?
Champagne moment here - after a whole month of resisting the temptation to buy what I call 'fripperies' (art, cushions, lamps, decorative stuff 🙄) and managing to visit Homesense and TK a few times without making any purchases, I fell off the wagon at the weekend when the lamp I've been coveting for ages came back in stock at Pooky Lighting (and just the one, which made it all the more tempting!).
I chose a crazy shade to pair with it and today they've been delivered....not cheap, but so happy with my choices 😍😍😍
It's my treat for having to put up with so many delays/disappointments with regards to our ongoing DIY projects! We'll get there in the end.

Loved the jubilee stuff too. That last balcony appearance felt very poignant. It felt like "Goodbye".The queen always reminds me of my mum, they looked very similar and were born within 1 month of each other. Mum didn't make it to 96 though, she died a couple of months before her 90th birthday. You may have seen the lovely drawing of HMTQ and Paddington that's been all over the place. I think it's enchanting and although I'm not into Souvenirs as such I have ordered a print.Viewings going well, two more tomorrow, no offers yet but I guess it's early days. Just need to be patient. Not my strong point. 😂.Wednesday. What a lovely beach to have on your doorstep. I'm positively green with envy.7

My Champagne moments today:
I went to watch the film Cyrano at my local Odeon. It was a silver cinema screening so my ticket only cost me £3.50 and I got a free cup of tea which would normally cost me £2.20 and some individually wrapped segments of Terry's chocolate orange. I love musicals and this was a real extravaganza. For me this film was a 9.5/10
I had another masterclass with Sonali Bhattacharyya and the Neighbourhood Voices this evening. I really enjoyed the writing exercise and sharing what I had written about with the group. It was an interesting mix of stories that were shared with very deep subjects but conveyed in a light hearted way. Sonali Bhattacharyya has written a play called Chasing Hares which begins it's run at the Young Vic in July 2022. We will all be getting free tickets to watch Chasing Hares.4 -
My Champagne moment today was getting on the scales and realising I had lost another 2 pounds in weight5

That's brilliant, Sugarbaby, well done!
My champagne moments today...
We recently heard that, being so rural, we might be eligible for a grant for fibre broadband. Having been down this path previously to no avail, we were sceptical but today the engineer has been out to do the set up. It won't be fully operational for up to 24 hours, but fingers crossed we might no longer have to rely on our mobiles for the internet - which after four years will be amazing 😃
It's a sunny - if breezy - day, so I've been wandering round the garden taking in the sights and scents of the roses. Most of the 60+ we've planted are now flowering 😊
Here's a few pics (everything you can see has been planted/laid out by us since 2018 🙂)...
