Good Evening!
Mmmmmmmmmmm, that's Saturday mostly done. Dislike, intensely just 'going thru' the days.....
We've had some high spots. We received some nice parcels in the post 😁 We've had some laughs - mostly at daddy's expense, although there was also some innuendo, that went (thankfully) over LG's head, but because we were laughing, they larfed too! 😁 We've got the shopping for the week 👏, folk have sent us messages today 👍 and we've had 3 square meals. So nowt to (really) complain about.
Tea this evening WAS, F.I.N.A.L.L.Y. Malaysian Tofu Curry, Carrot Dhal and steamed rice. The Malaysian tofu curry was nice and I will be keeping the recipe. The only thing that I did, which was not in the recipe was to add lemon (zest and juice) and coriander. I am not too sure if Malaysian curries feature citrus or coriander (more likely to be lime?????), but in my humble opinion, it made a very nice curry, into an excellent curry 👍 I have no idea what the type of tofu was that was used in the original recipe, but for the record, I used normal firm tofu, pressed it - to extract the water, then cut it into small blocks, lightly dusted with cornflour and then fried until golden and crispy, and then tipped into the curry 'gravy'. Worked really well 😁
I must admit, we insisted that LG ate some of the dhal (they used to eat SO.MUCH.DHAL!!!), it was only a couple of dessertspoonfuls, but oh my goodness....... the.tears.and.tantrums............🙁 But eventually, the dhal was eaten and it was 😊 all round.............................
Today I am grateful for these 3 things;
1) our really nice postie 😁👍
2) DH stepping up and helping out - with chores and childcare, LG 😍 having daddy at home.
3) that tea used some random inexpensive ingredients, paired with storecupboard/freezer items and yet, was so lush 😁

Good Morning!
Well, it's been a slow-start here this morn. But to a certain extent, we're still getting used to the NOT having to be 'busy,busy,busy' every minute of every weekend. I would be hopeful that things might have changed a little by now - had we not been under lock-down. But we are, so it is what it is.
However, we have breakfasted and I have read one story already to LG - i heard myself start to formulate 'not at the mo......' in my brain, and quickly changed to 'sure, which one shall we read?'. So that is still an ongoing work in progress, but we all enjoy reading, so it really isn't onerous...... well, until LG brings out the 400th book of the day to read.......... 🤣
Today should be a NSD. Tea will be something along the lines of veggie sausages, mash and baked beans or mushy peas. I have done the meal-plan for the next week - taking choices from my 'master' planner. I think I may have to tinker though, because DH was only able to pick up a 400g pack of mushrooms yesterday, rather than the 650g 'family pack' that was on the list. You all know how mushrooms shrink back to nowt when cooked, so I may have to change my mushroom stroganoff to something that has mushrooms in it. I shall give it some thought.
I watched the first hour of the concert on TV last night. Although it was at least 12 years ago, it was so good to see people just plain enjoying themselves - singing along, because they knew everyone of the words. And the quality of the musicians - wow! Irrespective of the musical genre, I hope we can get back to that someday......
Right, I've nowt else to report of a MSE/MFW nature, so I'll go and do summat else.
Ta for popping by. Appreciated,

Good Evening!
newgirly, try_harder and maggiem - thank you so very much for such kind sentiments - you don't know how much they were appreciated - they would have been anyway, but they were mucho needed today.............
I'll admit to having had a wobble today. I tried to go for a walk to 'walk off me fuNk', but honestly it's like walking along the M25 these days. I bet I would have passed fewer people had I gone walking around the local shopping mall......... Then someone attempted to make humour about lockdown. Ordinarily, I might of thought 'ooof, that's a bit off' or perhaps even just ignored their ineptitude, but this is someone who really, really is not in a position to make light of people having to 'stay at home'. I can appreciate that perhaps they were having an off day, and on any other day, they might not have made the same faux pas. But it sunk me today, I'm struggling to find the hope.
DH and LG faired much better and had a much more fulfilling and restorative exercise opportunity, so that is at least one highlight for the day 😁 Today was also a NSD. And I DIDN'T eat my body weight in chocolate, despite feeling a bit low (YAY! 🤣) So again, once you start to prod & poke, you find that things inna so bad...............
We sat together as a family this afternoon and watched the animated film 'Sing'. I'm awfully glad we did, as it was a nice film - with lots of music that the kids would recognise, as well as a few songs that were reworked, but that the adults might recognise too. Lots of laughs, and as you'd expect from modern technology, very good quality animation. LG sat through the entire film - I'm not saying that they enjoyed every moment, but had we been in a cinema, and they had sat through a film like that, well then we would have regarded it as money well spent. So glad it was on terrestrial TV 😁
Tea was veggie sausages (Lindy Mckartknee), oven chips and baked beans. It was divvied up into 3 portions and I'm pleased to report that LG ate all that was on their plate. This is progress, as we've always had issues with any one of the 3 components that were on the plates, so we get a YAY! there too 😁
Today I am grateful for these 3 things;
1) Kindness in a seemingly endless bombardment of crassness.
2) For small wins in the 'eats' department
3) For enjoying family time together
Ta for reading. Sorry I'm not a bit more upbeat. Perhaps a night's sleep may improve things 🤞
