Hi all, sorry for not posting for a while. I, like Pip, have been a bit off computers. Still working from home and even though most pupils are back in school we still have a few very medically vulnerable who are at home and we had a bubble have to go home on the 1st day, such is life at the moment. Consequently I am only now beginning to feel like I am not a slave to email, TEAM and Zoom. I have managed to do a quick catch up with all the posts. I finished the baby blanket and it is now on its way to Plymouth. It took me ages to get it done and I want to thank Laura for her psychology post. It made me think about why it was taking so long and I realised it was because I knew when it was finished I had nothing left to do, so didn't want to finish it. Funny thing the brain, lol. I am now looking for a new project, 2 spring to mind having read your posts but both will involve the purchase of materials. A cotton jumper for the summer set me off trawling the net for a pattern that I like and I have found one that might be ok. Then a quick look at the black sheep website just to look for cotton and I stumbled on to the knit along blanket. I am very interested in this as I have 3 people I could do this for, though not in the colours they have shown. My friend who is recovering from leukaemia, my lovely neighbour who has kept me sane for the last year and my sister who I have not seen since July 2019 as she lives in Dorset. It would give me the chance to learn some techniques as well as make some nice gifts. I will continue to think about it for a few days. Mending March sounds amazing and I will look around for something to mend. I usually do it as soon as I see it if I can but I will check. On the vaccine front I am booked in for my 2nd jab tomorrow and am keeping my fingers crossed it goes as easy as the 1st. Take care everyone8

Cherryfudge, your mending is beautiful! Was it just a small tear, or had it worn thin? I'm glad I've been able to see it. Well worth the wait.2025 Fashion on the ration

@Liverpool_Anne, one of the few things I still use Ravelry for is the stash-search option which shows you people willing to sell the yarn you want...
Here, for example, is a stash-search including Willing to trade/sell, and Cotton, and DK, and country being the UK:
https://www.ravelry.com/stash/search#stash-status=trade&weight=dk&country=united-kingdom&fiber-content=cotton&sort=added&view=thumbs
You can refine it further, specify colours, or change DK to 4-ply or whatever, using the menus at the side. Then you send a PM to the person asking if they still have it (sometimes they sell it and forget to update) and if so how much it is with postage. And then you get yarn second-hand, unused, and costing NO COUPONS!
Also, it's almost always cheaper, even with p&p...2025 remaining: 37 coupons from 66:

Cherryfudge - I absolutely love that repair. That has really brightened your jeans up I bet.
I haven't felt up to posting on here for a while as I have just been so busy at work by the time I have finished a days work the last thing I want to do is sit at a computer typing again. I have even had days where I can't cope with the TV being on so that has been off in the last couple of evenings. I think I'm struggling a bit now from the length of time of this lockdown and the fact I had been stuck indoors for 9 weeks or so waiting for my broken toe to heal. I can walk now but I still can't run or dance which are two of the activities I use to get rid of any pent up tension. I am managing to do yoga now so I am getting there slowly. I want to go on a nice long walk but I'm a bit nervous about attempting that just yet. Hopefully I will do that Easter weekend. I'm also getting a bit bored with doing the same old things. I have now pretty much finished doing all the things that don't cost money (except the spring clean but I have had my fill of cleaning) and now its things that need me to get stuff to complete so I need the shops to open. I have been doing a lot of crafting but again I felt I had to stop for a bit because it was getting boring and I didn't want my enjoyment of that activity ruined. However, I have recently got my mojo back. In fact the other day I was cutting out some bits of fabric for a toy item and then felt a lot better. A couple of weeks ago I finished making a casual jersey dress which I love. Its so comfy and I love the bold abstract pattern of the fabric. The fabric was from my stash from years ago so that was zero coupons used. I would like to get another casual dress finished so I would like to join you all in your March challenge to get that one done.Lisa
