2021 Fashion On The Ration Challenge

A lot of coupons, @Shropshirelass, but those are things you will wear a lot and it's to be hoped they will last you a while. Anyway it's nice to have new things.
I will have to declare some jumpers soon, if they are as nice when they arrive as they are in my head. Did I need them? Not strictly, no. They were all ones I'd had my eye on for a while but buying online as we all know can be a bit variable so I'm not handing over my coupons till I know I've spent them. I do have another sports bra to declare though, which is half a corset, or one and a half coupons, so my new total is 12 spent.

Had a lovely time at the beach. Will figure out where to host hubby’s 3-minute video of the sunrise over the Gulf of Mexico later on. Figured out that I need to learn how to de-stress on a regular basis - I could literally feel my neck tightening up as we were driving back. 

I did get 2 pairs of capris right before we left. I’ll figure out how to account for them later.

@Shropshirelass - if the jacket, etc, are exactly what you wanted, then they are worth the coupon spend.  I hope they bring you much joy.

I'm feeling very proud of myself, I have just mended a pair of pyjama trousers. I bought two pairs, same ones in different colours, about six years ago in White Stuff sale. I hardly ever wear them to sleep in, but put them on every morning when I get up, and sometimes in the evening to slob around in. One pair is still going strong, but the other bottom half was in a bit of a state at the waistband: the inside fabric was disintegrating. I cut a piece of soft cotton fabric from one of my many odd bits and machined it in place all the way round. I'm so pleased as this should give me a few more years of wear, and no coupons spent to replace them, which I would have done pre challenge.

@PipneyJane The jacket is something I have wanted for years, I hope it will last as long as my recently retired 'duvet coat ' which I used for 12 years, and abandoned only when the zip gave up, and it was 2 sizes too big due to me losing weight. I'm going for a new look, as the tweed jacket is shaped! 
Am I right to take 3 coupons for a bra?

A bra is 1.5 coupons.  (A corset is 3 and a bra is considered to be half a corset.)

Sounds lovely @Shropshirelass.  You must wear it and show it off to us in the village hall.

I've always counted a t-shirt as a blouse, @Wraithlady .  I'm happy to put it to the vote, though.  What do others think?

I'm fine with that - so, I'm declaring 5 coupons for a Damned logo-embossed t-shirt which was half-price

I'm not sure how much more fabric goes into a blouse than a tee shirt? Depends on sleeve length mostly I suppose: a long-sleeved tee might use quite a lot of fabric (I only know this because I made tee shirt yarn out of old tees and there's a lot in the sleeves once the hem is unpicked - even short ones). I think you would have to look at whether there was extra work involved in making the tee - embroidery, collar etc. Embossed logo I'm not sure about .
