Happy Christmas everyone (other seasonal festivities are available. Check your local retailer for details) I'll be at my cousin's without my cousin as she and her son and his dad and uncle and granddad all tested positive last weekend while having their pre-Christmas soiree at the grandparent's place in Cornwall, and have sensibly decided to just stop there and isolate as a group. As of today none of them are too horrendously ill, and granny seems to have escaped completely, so fingers crossed.
My Dad is testing daily - an electrician on the job he's on has gone down with it and they're all working on one floor of a house and now Dad is a bit bunged up and yuck - so he dropped off a box of chocs today and picked up presents and three lateral flow tests I had spare but stood well away from me, outside in the rain. So far he's been negative, and there's no persistent cough or shortness of breath, so again fingers crossed.
Stay safe everyone. And have a good one, even if you're not where (or with who) you expected to be.Fashion on the Ration 2025 - 1.5 coupons remaining

Seasons greetings to all.
I hope has a restful and relaxing day.
We're pretty sedate and lax festivities here, so should anyone be having some kind of day, I'm happy to pass the time with you, take a wander down to the duck pond, chat and/or just 'be'.
xx

If anyone wants to join us later on for pizza, we're having that owing to my suddenly realising at half-five this morning that the kilo of turkey-breast joint was still in the freezer
So a laid-back back-to-front Christmas for us and turkey tomorrow

Laura_Elsewhere I cooked the turkey crown yesterday, plenty here, can send a couple of turkey sandwiches to you, not cooked any stuffing or extras yet though. TBH not feeling like eating any of it, but will make an effort for DOH shortly, started his favourite Raspberry trifle, and been for a chilly and blowy walk - saw a very large dog fox just lying in the field watching us, if he was waiting for a rabbit lunch he was out of luck, not one to be seen anywhere today. The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. 10 of us for lunch at DD's, her oven blew up this morning!!!!!! Cue goose, turkey, pigs in blankets and roasties being cooked here to be transported later. Good thing 1, they can use the hob so are doing the veg; good thing 2, we only live 10 minutes drive away. All fun and games 😊.
Hope everyone has a good day x6 -

We lived for 7 years without a proper oven, just our combi-microwave-convection oven, which is still our primary oven a decade later. Rarely used as a microwave. Largest thing I ever roasted in it was a duck. I used to prepare the Christmas turkey then drop it round to my MIL’s for her to roast.
