Yes, 3oz a week. Mind you I've got a funny feeling that I am going to be having some sugar free weeks!!!2025 Fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons

Hope everyone enjoyed their Christmas - and what wonderful news, Cherryfudge and MaddieMay. I'm having the first quiet day for about a week, just catching up on the Television drinking wine and eating the chocolate truffles (unfortunately have to be eaten by 16th Jan!
I have a spend to declare, I've found another bra that I like.
I'm quite happy to wipe the number of points out from last year. TBH I'm not quite sure if I've even finished using my points up from last year never mind this years.Sealed Pot Challenge no 035.

157g, 100g, 200g, and call it the odd 43g, so that's 500g... divided by 85 = 5.8... I've eaten nearly six weeks' sweets ration already, in two days...!
Jings!!!
That really makes you think, doesn't it?

Resolutions - I want to sit down in the next few days and work out what gaps I really have in my wardrobe and buy fabric to make 'gap-fillers'...
And I want to try and make 66 coupons'-worth of clothes as well this yearTotally separate tally, and I'll make sure I don't post confusingly!
I have to decide whether to buy new knickers or finally get on with making some - I've looked online and in M&S and a couple of other places and I simply can't find ones I like - they are mostly SO thin! If you can see through the cotton jersey in the shop then they really aren't going to last! So I think I really really need to get on and make some. I've been going to, for YEARS...

I’m currently eking out my chocolate, Father Christmas was generous and brought gold coins, a Terry’s
chocolate orange and a Lindt effigy of himself! The tub of Celebrations has been breached however I’m dutifully targeting the Malteasers. 😉✒️ Declutter 2025👗 Fashion on the Ration 2025 61/66 coupons (5 coupons silver boots)✒️Declutter 2024 🏅🏅🏅(DSis 🏅🏅)

I’m not counting the stuff I’ve eaten so far, just the unopened stuff - going to start on 1st Jan.
@Laura_Elsewhere I have also been planning to make knickers for about the last five years; I have a bag of jersey scraps, I have saved/downloaded free patterns and tutorials, I don’t quite know why I can’t seem to do it. Perhaps we can support each other on this challenge and exchange tips!Life is mainly froth and bubble: two things stand like stone. Kindness in another’s trouble, courage in your own.5 -
Yes! @PollyWollyDoodle, I should *love* some company on the knicker-making front!
I have some bits from when that last parachutist came down and was marched off by the Home Guard, so I shall be trying to make some French Knickers - but I also have some stretch-velvet (must be from before the war...) and want to make briefs, which I've made before but not quite got right. so I shall wear those three pairs this week and work out what isn't quite right in each and see if I can get it right!2025 remaining: 37 coupons from 66:

A quick look at the coupon purchasing power list to see what might just be feasible for me in terms of reverse couponing:
Most of the beginning of the list (page 1 of this thread), I expect to be beyond my skills this year. I'm not sure I'll get as far as knicker-making but it I did, I'm unlikely to need many. I bought a pack of nice ones a year ago which have hardly been worn. Jumper? Well I have DH's to blue ne to complete but as it comes out of his coupons (I think? Can't remember so far back) I don't think it counts towards my achievements though necessarily it counts towards beating the sable mountain.I would love to knit socks but I'm making no promises. I also have an eye on the fingerless gloves pattern that I think @PipneyJane wrote out for us.
Do we get the points twice over if, say, we use 4oz of wool from stash (2 coupons) and make a scarf (2 more coupons), total 4? Or total 2?
If I knit or sew anything that's from stash for GD, I think that counts as a reduction and consequent reverse coupons, but if I buy new to make her anything, is that from the Government allowance?I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
The sun's been out and I think I’m solar powered (Onebrokelady)

Good morning All. We got home yesterday at lunchtime. Goose roasted. All the Christmas treats we recorded have been watched (“The Snail and the Whale”, “Superworm”, “The Abominable Snowbaby”).
@maddiemay - hope you’re feeling better after your fall. Apologies for missing it earlier. Congratulations on the impending arrival.
All this talk of chocolate rations, makes me wonder: do we want to have a New Year’s Resolutions list on the new thread? Bullet points only, please, which I’ll list under your name. It doesn’t matter if they’re specific to our parallel universe or not; mine will include read at least one book a month and do my Duolingo French daily. Perhaps it’d be better if you PM me your list, once you’ve discussed it here.
@Cherryfudge - while the Reverse Couponing Challenge is @Laura_Elsewhere’s baby, I would have thought that you’d count the coupons from the yarn not the scarf. You are reducing your stash by xx-number of coupons (or is that liberating xx-number coupons from your stash?).
