Oooh, me of little faith! I should have known - lovely, I like oats anyway, but they always seem especially 'right' in this weather... thankyou ever so much!

I finally managed to find DH’s socks in stock elsewhere for his bday present and so I have used 4 coupons (18 left). Hoping that’s it for the rest of the year unless anything urgent comes up.

Need some bits next year, so will save coupons for that.

I guess so, in a way - it's been a  bit of a long-drawn out battle and it's nice to draw a line under it. This evening the buyers sent a photo of themselves and their children with big grins on their face, which is lovely! The children look so excited!

He had 18 months to prepare for it and to process it mentally/emotionally.  He did none of those things.)

I once heard myself say to someone, in very different circumstances, 'Oh, I'll bounce back'. At the time I wondered why I said it but since then I can see that's exactly what happens. I struggle at first, but when I'm over the negative feelings, I do indeed tend to bounce back. I wonder if your friend kept hoping his job would somehow be extended?

Much sympathy from me too, @Liverpool_Anne; sad times.

No coupons spent lately here; today I'll be de-cluttering, cleaning & tidying the "sewing room" aka the spare bedroom, ready for DS3 to camp in there so that DS1, partner & dachshund can stay in his downstairs room when they come over from Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 to visit DS2, wife & baby in a week or two. That will also give me some space to make some more knickers! And another pair of the Japanese trousers; I have some green curtains lined up to be transformed...

Yes! 

The front dresses were great. I bought them in M&S a couple of years ago; a linen mix simple shift dress design. I’ve hardened, stripped furniture, visited friends, hill walked and basically worn them for everything else as well. Im in Scotland and we have had a lovely summer so it’s been quite easy. 

I bought a wool& dress to continue the challenge because linen and cotton aren’t really up to the cold, but when it arrived it was too big so I’ve returned it (free returns) and bought a smaller size. 

If I wear it for 100 days I get €100 off the next one. I know it’s not a cheap dress but having seen it now, the fabric is nice and it looks well made. 

What did @TwibbleDee think? 

And everyone else, of course! 

My sandals were Birkenstocks, so I’m definitely buying for longevity, not fashion. And I’d prefer to have fewer items and better quality than a full wardrobe of short lived items.
