Eden Camp is a wonderful experience. I have been several times, even coming from America just to go there once. I have sent them some books for their library also in the past.8

I collect books on the Home Front in World War II. I have over two thousand, including about 700 cookbooks. I use them to look
for practical information on how to save money. Many of them were bought in England and Wales (have spent many days in Hay on Wye). I used to take people to the UK to search for their ancestors ( I am a professional genealogist). Loved it. I have been trying to see what books are needed by different World War II libraries in both the US and the UK and get them to where they can be of use. I also sent many books to the Environmental Library they had in Dublin. It was a good library for practical information and I'm sorry it is gone now. I would love to join you for a cup of tea.9 -
OH my word! Well, you are going to be welcome when we have a question we can't answer about our clothing coupons or how to keep the biscuit tin filled when we're all a bit low on our sugar and fat rations!
Talking of the biscuit tin... oh, for pity's sake - WHO forgot to put it back up on the top of the cupboard? We're lucky that bloomin' dog couldn't get it open, look there's bite-dents all round one end...
Still, it's firmly shut still, so please do help yourself to Pip's Anzac biscuits!2025 remaining: 37 coupons from 66:

I’m sick of clothes today. Spent the day packing up the current clothes out for DD for charity and getting out/arranging the next size for her. Also managed to fill half a bag of my stuff for charity and a few socks etc with more hole than actual sock for the fabric recycling. Then washing, drying, putting clothes away.
I did continue my online second hand clothes wish lists, but nothing bought and no decisions made for the next purchase yet.2025 decluttering: 3,819🌟🥉🌟💐🏅🏅🌟🥈🏅🌟🏅💐💎🌟🏅🏆🌟🏅

Hello @QueenJess, @weenancyinAmerica & @florianatwobob! Nice to "meet" you all.
I've just added 3 coupons for my purchase of 150g of cashmere yarn to mend the cashmere sweater with. It'll take at least - oh, maybe 2g? - but I suspect it won't be hard to find a use for the remaining 148g! I think I may have to weave myself a luxurious scarf, provided neither of the DDs steals it... the only way I could be reasonably sure of a good match was to send a sample to Colourmart, and I have to say, they're very efficient & helpful.Angie - GC Aug25: £106.61/£550 : 2025 Fashion on the Ration Challenge: 26/68: (Money's just a substitute for time & talent...)11 -
@weenancyinAmerica, the environmental library in Dublin, what did they do with their books when they closed, do you know? Hopefully they have been rehoused together in another library. What an interesting job you have and how lovely to be able to bring people to visit the places where their families come from.
Take care everyone9 -
Just discovered my only pair of blue jeans have developed a hole in the knee (pesky kids!). Going to have to read up on visible mending and try to patch it up later. Wish me luck 🍀2025 decluttering: 3,819🌟🥉🌟💐🏅🏅🌟🥈🏅🌟🏅💐💎🌟🏅🏆🌟🏅
