I’m currently sitting waiting for a train with my ‘easy’ knitting in my case - the blue jumper that has about 40cm to go before I need think about anything but knit and purl. The intarsia project would just about guarantee I’d miss my stop.My brain is full of "what do I take to knit??". Answer, the jumper I'm making - I'm now on the sleeves - and 2 pairs of socks.
My sister has given me two near-complete balls of wool in shades of blue. No plans for them yet…
I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

I treasure the time I was sitting on Wolverhampton Platform One and a harassed-looking woman gazed at me and gasped, near tears, "I've just had the most *awful* day and a horrible journey and you look *so* calm and serene, sitting there knitting quietly in the middle of the crowd - thankyou so much, it's made me feel I can keep going!" and vanished off before I could do a thing except smile at her in a friendly way...
Ever since, I make a point of knitting on platforms, especially busy ones, and making sure my face looks approachable, just in case someone else feels desperate and needs the calm of sock-knitting...2025 remaining: 37 coupons from 66:
