What small DFW things will you do this week 28.12.20?

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.
Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important 😀

Morning guys. Was just popping over to see what the early birds were up and saw we needed a new thread - so ta da!
I don't know what my plans are fully for the day as not long got up but it will include - playing games/with toys with madam, doing a little sanding in the hall, turkey for lunch & dinner- very pleased I divvied up and froze all of the ham and turkey yesterday made enough for 3 meals of each and sliced turkey for sandwiches
We will go out for a walk later on and I'd like to do some form of exercise at some point. Might play just dance with madam and kill 2 birds with one stone
I'd liked to go back to my dress and make some adaptions. Annoying as will have to take the skirt right off as probably need to take off about 2.5-4 inches off of each side panel. Want to strike while the iron is hot.
Read free library e-book
Ok have a good day y'all x
ETA: ordered 2 x day to view dairies. 1 for my financials and 1 for personal/bullet diary
Had porridge and a browning banana for breakfast. Not my favourite but needs must. Think I'll have to freeze a couple so as not to waste them!
Trying to go back to my diet today. It's so hard to start!DF as at 30/12/16

Morning allThanks for starting the thread DNMSStrange day, it was pouring with rain when I got up, then stopped and got really cold a short while later. Short dog walk today due to suddenly icy pavements. Today I have / will:Had freezer fruit for breakfast (cheap blueberries from the market a couple of weeks ago, yum)Water indoor plants - a trivial thing, but I forget to do this if I don't make a note DoneList a couple of items on ebay (1 done so far) Managed 2Wrap some ebay parcels to post maybe tomorrow - or possibly today if it warms up enough to thaw the footways Wrapping done, but post office closed today (good thing I checked!)Soup to finish off for lunch DoneQuick scout round fridge / elsewhere to make sure nothing is going off. I found 2 peppers that had developed soft spots yesterday. Cut off squishy bits and chopped and froze the rest. DoneMake an ordinary loaf in BM later Not donePay milk bill Not yet, will do in a minuteI have changed the date on my Mr S delivery (pushed it back) as I am actually only really in need of a bit of fresh stuff as opposed to a £40 shop. May try Wa*trose assuming the pre-Xmas queues have disappeared! Or possibly Icyland, though their fresh fruit isn't always great. Their minimum is £35 and next day delivery is almost always available round here. Need to think on that. Actually their minimum is £25, but £35 for free delivery. Booked a delivery for tomorrow. Couldn't resist making up to £35 by adding some storecupboard items thoughDinner will be heated up slices of ham with roasted veg and red cabbage
In progress. Can't find red cabbage in freezer (too cold for intensive rummaging - brrrr) but there is some cauliflower in the fridge, and planty of home frozen French beans. That will do.
Feeling exceptionally lazy and unmotivated today, really need to up my game tomorrow! I also need to go back to my diet DNMS, but it isn't going to happen with Xmas rubbish around still - and I didn't buy much!Hope everyone is ok.5 -
Hello!!!
I've been on here all day so far, catching up from TWO missed months of being on here - work all just got a bit much and I found that there weren't enough hours in the day to do anything else other than my jobs, making the kids do home learning when they were isolating and just about keeping the house going.
Anyway, I'm back. Goodness knows how long for so far - but I have the rest of this week at least off work. Not giving up

Morning all
Venturing out of the house today for the first time since Christmas Day. The car is booked in for its service and there are a couple of bits of shopping that I can't wait any longer for (cat litter and milk).
I'm waiting at the garage while they service the car - mainly because I refused to pay the £25 charge to borrow a car to drive home again. While I'm there I'm going to go through my January budget and see what I can twist and tweak here and there. As always, January will be a tight month.
Then a bit of shopping (from a list) at Aldee and Bee Emm. Planning to go for a long walk later but it has been snowing so I'm not sure whether or not I'll be able to walk that far. Will assess the paths and roads when I drive to the garage. I need to do something though, before I grow into the sofa.
Hope you're feeling better today CLF.Not giving up

Morning guys
how are you doing CLF? Hope you and dh are on the mend x
Today is my last day of this stint of days offalthough am only working for 1 day then off again for 9
Today:
* going for a walk in the woods with friend at 10.30. it's been pushed back to 11 nowNeed to jump in the bath, find some clothes that fit and put madam's bike in car before we leave
* TOMM - bedrooms today. Will make madam help me with hers and oh with ours
* do a load of washing & hang up. Put away what is currently on airer
* take madam to park this afternoon & play a game with her. She has so much stuff we're only half way through playing with it! She is loving a bead jewellery making set I got her. It's the simple things! Think it cost £10 and she has been loving it for 24 hours so far!
* get stuff ready for work tomorrow, grab a soup out of freezer for my lunch and a potato out of the garage for a jacket for my tea (and and madam tend to have pizza when I'm working)
* turkey curry for dinner tonight
* currently researching veggie meals and getting enough protein as madam has said she wants to become vegetarian. I have said I am fully behind her but we have to eat the mountain of food (meat) we have in currently!
* pay off cc and update accounts
Ok that will do. Hope you all have a lovely TuesdayDF as at 30/12/16

So I'm on a roll this morning and I have put 12 gu ramekins on FB that just really needed to go from my glass shelf, and put my new beautifully hand blown glasses there instead. So happy with that. Next bit is that I have a sweater that I will retire and I have cold feet ... get it - time to make sweater slippers .... but whats the best soles for it? Anti slip, possibly proper felt or leather ones? Any suggestions?
