Chanie congratulations that is good news.
Maman good idea to check at different times. In my home area they built a new estate only small, bordering a park, it looked lovely so near the city centre but with a nice park on their doorstep. Lots of people viewed on a Sunday, for some reason Sunday was a quiet day in our area so they had no idea of the problems that lay ahead. I did feel sorry for them.8 -

Good Mornjng lovely ladies......
well I have had a very productive Mornjng, without even getting dressed.😂🤣.I have gone through my finances, and sorted out my budget. It's looking quite healthy, much better I had anticipated. I guess there are some positives to lockdown, not many chances to spend my money.Today would have been my late husbands birthday so tonight I shall raise a glass in his honour and indulge myself in a few treats.Right time for some fabbing and then hit Aldi's. The excitement!!!
Have a great day y'all.Keeeeep fabbing,10 -
maman said:I had a strange experience a few years back. My then boss's DD was thinking of moving into a flat close to the football club but they'd only viewed it in daytime and he wanted to check out the area at night. So he suggested that we drive around after an evening game and go to the local pub to get a feel for the area. DH, my boss and I were sitting having a drink and this guy came over and asked my boss about me. He was asking about my availability as he assumed he was my pimp!! 🤣 She didn't take the flat. 😉2025 GOALS

I feel like things are going to get back to normal soon so I feel like I should be preparing myself for going out socially again. I am back on the healthy eating as I have gained weight being on this medication. I just made a low calorie veggie soup and I'm about to bounce on my trampoline for a while. I will go for a walk later. It's not cold here, just dull and cloudy. Not very inspiring.
I'm going to have a bath, shave my legs and put on body lotion tonight. I might whiten my teeth tomorrow as I forgot to do that.
I really cannot wait to get back to charity shops again. I'm hoping they still have winter clothes out as I want to make sure I am prepared for next winter as I wasn't prepared for the cold snap we had.
We started watching the movie Life last night. It has Ryan Reynolds and Jake Gyllenhaal in it if anyone is interested in eye candy.I can't think if it was on Prime or Netflix.

My DIL has just sent me details of a fabulous cottage for when lockdown ends. They need to move out whilst they get a new staircase built. Fairly local again, up in the high peak. Around mid April. So it could be glorious sunshine or snow. Who cares. It's a holiday!!! 💃
Wednesday. I am sure there will be some winter stuff in the chazzers. In fact they could well be needing to reduce it to sell it off quickly and make way for summer stock because they tend not to have large storage areas. I know from my days at Scope we could only store a small amount of out of season clothing. We could only keep the absolute best. You might be able to snaffle up some bargains. And you are right, it's always a good idea to plan ahead. As a rule I always buy as much as I can off season. For example winter coats in summer, summer frocks in September. That's when you find the best deals, whether new or pre loved. I've always done it. I wouldn't dream of paying full price for a winter coat in November. 😉And of course this year, with no one going out, there will be a lot of winter stock to shift, both new and pre loved. That's why I have been topping up my coats both for my personal use and buying for stock. I have 2 wardrobes full. If you look on eBay you will see they are packed out with coats at the moment. You need to factor in postage costs of course and they can be quite steep but even so there are some cracking bargains. Coats and jackets, winter skirts etc just aren't selling very well at the moment so you can pick them up for silly prices.8 -
Join me at 8pm tonight. Raise a glass to those we have loved and who can no longer be with us.Parents, siblings, family, husbands, friends, lovers and especially the little ones whose lives ended before they had scarcely begun. (Yes and much missed pets too).Honour them, celebrate their lives, and cherish their memories.❤️❤️10

That cottage sounds lovely LL.
I've only stayed in a holiday cottage a few times, the last time I think was in Derbyshire but that was years ago when I was at uni.
I was thinking of booking a hotel too for the summer by the coast again. I was going to say that when my husband got home. I can always cancel if something goes wrong. I don't know if it is because of the extra daylight but it does feel like real life will be back soon.
I hope the winter clothing is still in the chazzers when I look. I definitely would like a bedroom as a walk in wardrobe when we move house, with my full length mirror and a dressing table with my makeup etc... I used to be a minimalist but I think I will try and expand my wardrobe. It is maybe the influence of being on this thread for a few years.
I don't know if I said this but my husband is leaning towards not retiring next year now and working for more years. It's up to him. We would have more money in the long term if he stays at work. His work is very easy and he doesn't mind being there. That would mean we have to move close to London still so he could get into work but still be by the sea. I feel like my mind has been constantly whirring the past years especially as I haven't been going anywhere during the pandemic. We have made plans and changed our minds over and over. Lol.

I'm only just catching up with this thread but wanted to add my tuppence worth about clothes in movies and TV. I agree about Renee Russo in the Thomas Crown Affair, and also wanted to mention the Olivia Pope character in the TV series Scandal. Her clothes were absolute heaven! She had fabulous, chic workwear as a high powered lawyer and then the most awesome loungewear when she was relaxing with a glass of wine. The series was quite a good story, but I really just watched for the clothes!10
