Help with dripping

It's definitely a dripping noise, and has only just started.southcoastrgi said:Are you sure it's a dripping noise & not just the waste pipe expanding with the hot water running through it ?If you can't hear a "dripping" noise all the time the shower is in use I doubt it's a leak
It only drips after the shower has been turned off...maybe a minute or so after, and there is a dripping noise outside too.

Hi MXW.If it's dripping on to plasterboard, the signs would surely be obvious by now.I take it the investigation under the bath included the 'tap' end? Completely dry under all that? Cool.Could you try: aim the shower head directly into the bath as normal, and run it hot for 1 minute. Turn it off, and note whether the drip sound is there. Now run the shower again - this time on cold - for 1 minute. See if the youknowwhat.1

(Like others, I'm wondering if it's expansion/contraction 'ticks' rather than actual drips. The sounds can be genuinely indistinguishable)

I hope that's what it is. The only good thing is that I can't see any water damage to the ceiling, as already stated, I would assume I would be able to see evidence of a leak by now.Jeepers_Creepers said:(Like others, I'm wondering if it's expansion/contraction 'ticks' rather than actual drips. It's a mystery!

Use a moisture detector (£10-15 off amazon/ ebay) on the plaster board where you think it might be dripping and see if the reading is higher than the rest of the cieling.1
