I hope you can fix the TD! Worst season for it to break.
And I love hearing about karma finding it's way to people 😊😊😊!!  You certainly not mean for feeling the way you do.

You're not being mean! It's satisfying when things fall into place, a bit like a scientific experiment when the results prove the theory.  You dodged a bullet there, no?! Love Humdinger xx

I wouldn't want him back for all the money in the world but I'd quite like him to try just so I can tell him where to go.  I don't like standing up to people but to him (and I would have a very big audience wanting to watch) I would lol.  He has all of a sudden started talking to DD1 but when DS was with him he barely acknowledged him which is sad as DS was the only one still seeing him before the stroke.  His loss.

Certainly is his loss! You're all doing so well without him. Me and my brother don't speak to our biological father and haven't done for some time, he's missing out on being a grandad to my 3x nephews. I hope one day karma comes back round to him!

Another week done but I was only in work for an hour today as I took some of my hours owed.  The tumble dryer man came round and fixed a part for £80 (including the call out) and the car had its breaks sorted so hopefully no more squeaking every time I reverse.  Car cost nothing as it was included in the price I paid in the half term when they changed them.  While there I booked DD1's car in for an MOT.  Feel like I have achieved quite a lot today and even the girls have cleared the bits and bobs from the living room after weeks of asking and hoping that I would give in and do it for them.

Mum's partner is still in hospital and looks like he may be unable to walk again, or possibly worse. She has always be adamant that they wont come back to live in the UK but as both are unwell and no one around to help, plus if he doesn't make it she will then be all alone too?  I have always supported her decision as the warmer weather helps her condition, but now I am not so sure.  I have felt quite helpless while she has been struggling alone over there.  If they stay put they will no doubt need to make quite a few adaptations to the new house and with neither of them able to drive they will need to work out how to get around and to the many doctors appointments etc.  They enjoy going on holidays but not sure how that would work if he needs a carer for everything?  Very uncertain at the moment on which way it will go.  Will probably get an update later today.

Sister and her partner have arrived and are visiting with my brother and family,  Not sure what the plan is for tomorrow as yet.

We had a lovely weekend with my sister and her partner.  We went on a very soggy shopping trip and whizzed around trying to find bits and bobs to send mum.  My brother has gone to visit her for a few days so we took the opportunity to send her some bits to open at Christmas, as this year may be a little depressing with her OH still in hospital.

Anyway I also managed to get quite a number of other gifts sorted and bought.  I now only have a few people left to buy for and am hoping to have some inspiration before the end of Nov.  That way I can enjoy December knowing that it is all sorted.  I was not keen on the busy shops and the number of people in town and it made me feel exhausted after.

Another busy week ahead but some fun things thrown in as well as work

Well done on Xmas shopping progress. I'm trying to get mine done before December too so I don't have to think about it and panic buy (and spend too much) last minute.
Sorry to hear about your mum's OH 🫤 x

Yay I have a PD day today and because we have stayed late to do training in the evenings, we are not needed in school today - Yay.  I actually finished yesterday lunch time but came home to a grumpy DD1 as she is full of cold, rushed off her feet and is heading off for a weekend away with her old school friends that she actually finds quite annoying now.  I am hoping she will ignore the annoying bits and join in with the fun.  I do think this may be the last one that she agrees to go on though.

Last night we went to our festive lights walk around the local big house and gardens that is near-ish to us.  It was lovely and we drank hot spiced apple juice and took lots of pictures to send to mum to cheer her up.  It took about an hour and a half to walk round which I was surprised about as we were not stopping to look at every single thing.  A good night out and a nice start to the festive season.

So today I have dropped DD2 off at school, I will drop DS off with my dad shortly to put in some fence posts.  I am then on house cleaning duties and clothes washing before DS gets dropped back off and I need to collect DD2.  Burgers are out of the freezer defrosting ready for tonights dinner.  I am feeling like I have some energy and might even make it into the loft to find the Christmas things.

Right time to drop DS off

Well I have had quite a productive day.  Spendy too but all money coming from their own pots plus I made sure any and every special offer and discounts were used.

All washing done other than DD2's, DS worn out from banging in 24 fence posts. Kitchen and bathrooms cleaned, bedrooms hoovered.  Ordered a new hob as our has been cracked for a while and a little while ago another crack appeared.  Really not sure how it cracked, but I do not want to limp along and then have it completely break on Christmas day.  So that is now in progress.  I have contacted my electrician but not yet heard back.

I also have a broken toilet so contacted the plumber too as I had a look and tried to mend it but no luck even after watching the how to clip on you tube.  Good job I have a house maintenance pot.  Hoping that is my 3 things as tumble dryer was mended last week.

Tomorrow we are off to the charity type shop that sells children's clothes as DD2 needs costumes for her play and will need them before the end of term.  I am hoping we can find at least the basis of the costumes that we can alter to be what we need at minimum cost

A few things achieved today including for the first time ever, I have put the Christmas tree up before December.  It feels wrong but as I was doing the advent calendars and I had got everything out of the loft anyway, I thought I might as well.  Only a few hours early really but it is a first for me.

The electrician has been booked in for the hob, so that is another thing organised.  Free sessions requested for DD2 over the holidays - not sure if she has got a place yet but at least we have asked.  She is really keen as this will be the last set of Christmas activities she will do as she will be 16 next year.

Another few gifts dropped off (one was an advent puzzle so nearly ran out of time).  Some of the local cards written ready to hand over tomorrow.
